More on Himmelberg to the Swans
He'd be a great get, and could fill a fair few holes..
I liked this part:

Himmelberg last week indicated his footy future was “something I don’t really want to be focusing on this early in the season”.

Yes Harry, just like Buddy you'll have to wait till the trade period to release the photo in your new red and white guernsey.

Why? It didn’t stop Norf.

Why do you guys even want Ben King, he's played like 58/115 games possible

I don't think he'll ever be reliable

If we have to get a gold coast forward I hope it's lukosious. Just reckon he'd pair really well with Logan and would thrive in a better set up.

I just can't see why they'd move a player like Himmelberg on, as much as I'd love it. His versatility makes him so valuable.
All their players must get sick of playing for a club with no fans. It would be dispiriting in the extreme IMHO.
If he wants to stay in Sydney, and we make an equal offer he'd be mad not to switch.
45,000 at the SCG Vs 3000 at Homebush....if we can't sell that to the bloke we need new recruiters.

Agreed and I think (well hope), that this is the one player that we are actually in the box seat to land, notwithstanding a crazy Adelaide offer.
I can't see where GWS are in any position to make him an out of this world offer, too many of their players are already tied up long term to big bucks, so I would like to think we could match anything they could offer, with the bonus of not having to move interstate, playing for a team in contention, in front of a good crowd with a large and strong supporter base.

I am never sure how much truth there is in these rumours.

I think player agents will hint that we are interested in every out of contract tall forward. Because Franklin will likely retire, so therefore we will apparently have lots of money and be desperate to replace him. Also we are fairly discreet so we probably won't bother confirming or denying rumours.

It makes us a convenient target to drive up a player's price.

Himmelberg parents (from Wagga) have purchased a house in Adelaide; ideal spot to watch both their boys play.
For once both the Adelaide Clubs may have a Free Agency advantage.

So all of a sudden wer not offering tdk 800k for 8 years ? Just shows how far fetched these reports can be.

Does anyone think kinnear gets on the blower to damo and days look mate just letting ya know we are going after himmelberg.

With heeney, paps and mills all on long term deals. Guys like warner and gulden exploding and logan a valuable commodity, its highly unlikely we can price out many clubs when it comes to free agents

Few whispers saying we might be into Fyfe for 2 years as that bull we need in the middle

middle of the doctors room?

I wouldn't get too excited. Fyfe needs a whole midfield built around him because he works one way. Who are you bumping for him anyway.

Will not fly in red and white imo
