Carlton are one of those teams that would look good at training.

100% agree with you. Fans love to blame one person who’s not even on the ground because they can’t accept that their players are bad. Look how many coaches they’ve had. Similar to us. But at the end of the day we know the board feels pressure and the coach gets moved on because it’s easier to move one person than 20 players

Again you can't compare them to us. We weren't touting ourselves as top 4 every year. We sacked our coaches with a self awareness that we weren't contenders but needed to see more signs in terms of long term/exponential development. Blues sack theirs because they expect to be contending despite never addressing a thin list and not putting in the time to grow in-house.

We sacked our coaches with a self awareness that we weren't contenders but needed to see more signs in terms of long term/exponential development. Blues sack theirs because they expect to be contending despite never addressing a thin list and not putting in the time to grow in-house.

Disagree wholeheartedly. We've had different list demographics, different areas of improvement, different trajectories and different perspectives on where we were (which lead to different approaches between the two).

And despite going through a whole saga we managed to play in multiple finals. So while we both haven't gotten near silverware we've had more of a crack at tasting experience in that regard than them and are in a different situation at the moment particularily because we recognised where we were at, drafted accordingly, exercised patience, but understood when to pull the lever when it was clear that you needed more than someone on training wheels to be leading a team on training wheels. P.S - it wasn't just the coach that we overhauled, it was almost the whole lot.

Apples and oranges. Carlton fans are arrogant, expect top 4 every year, list off a few names as a justification for it but fail to see where it drops off after that and how much more work they had to do behind the scenes that goes beyond the coach.

We aren’t world beaters we are a middle of the road side. Scraping into finals and being belted by ten goals isn’t anything to be proud of. If you’re comparing yourselves to Carlton then your club is either bad or mediocre.

I didn't say that we were world beaters mate, just saying we are on different paths, have been for a while, suffered through a saga and had the self-awareness on what to address, with different reasons for sacking a coach. We're not the ones touting ourselves as top 4 every year despite not playing a final in 10 years (and finals experience matters win or loss), their coaches never stand a chance. But Voss should have known that going in.
