Agree, has all the talent. Lindsay Thomas type etc / Corey Jones - but he's ******* lazy. Really pisses me off. Happy to give him another week and drop Stephenson though and let those two fight out for the same position.
When Braydon George or BHJ come on if select Watson there wont be a place for both. no way are we playing a fwd line going forward with both PC and Sleevo if we get 2 talls back into the mix, and this isnt even taking into account Zurhaar. the med and small spots will be heavily contested but we still come up short with KPF stocks relying on Com with no backup. and please dont say CCJ is an option.

Kieran Harper-esque at the moment with the ability to do some absolutely freakish things, but an inability to do the basics.

Harper’s body never gave him the chance, but you have to imagine with some added fitness and experience Curtis should be able to round out his game and be a very handy player for us. I don’t see any weaknesses to his game that can’t be worked on.

Lack of confidence for mine. If we had better small forward options he’d be able to spend a few weeks rebuilding that in the VFL. Unfortunately we don’t have that flexibility with smalls at the moment. Nick Watson and Robert Hansen Jnr will hopefully change that next year.

You can't be saying that a bloke who kicks those goals in back to back weeks and immediately fends off a member of the best defence in the comp upon coming on as the sub, is lacking in confidence. It's very clearly fitness

I don’t think they’re mutually exclusive. He seemed apprehensive as early as the first quarter. I don’t personally see that as just a fitness issue. Looked confused at times of when to “go”. So yes, I absolutely see it as a confidence issue as well as fitness.

I'd guess he doesn't quite know his role. Footy's played within a system and everyone plays the role of a cog within that system. I reckon he'll be right, but yea obviously it's not idea to have him playing so shit

Well if CCJ is clunking 2-3 contested marks up the ground, bringing the ball to the small’s feet and being a physical presence, he absolutely plays in the forward 50.

I’m not sure what game people are watching, but the CCJ playing at the moment is good - really good even.

Dude is 19 and contributing in our forward line. Inconsistently sure, but small forward in a shit team is an inherently inconsistent position. There is most of the list to be worried about before being worried about this kid.

They saying on SEN that Paul will get 2 weeks , as he didn't show a duty of care- the incident was when Jones broke his arm

Exactly.

Imagine a 22 year old Paulie with another two strong preseasons and double the fwd 50 entries per game.

Still a bit of an unknown in terms of whether he will make it. Has definitely got some skill, is good with his body positioning in marking contests and obviously knows how to kick a freak goal.
Defensive side of his game is still a work in progress (which is fair enough as he’s still a youngster).
If he gets suspended he could spend the free time learning how to kick on his non-preferred side. He’s not exactly Robinson Crusoe there though, a surprising number of players are horribly one-sided when it comes to kicking.
