Looks likely they will offer Sydney's first.

They should be trading pick 1 for pick 4, 16 and Dees future first.

Also bringing in Sydney’s first round pick (pick 8).

Giving them:
4, 8, 16 and two future firsts.

IF Tim is to become the highest paid player in the league, then logic suggest we can can go to arbitration and get the earliest pick they have plus more. The deal would have to be better than FA compensation…. Which pick 8 may not be (losing Tim may cause us to drop a few spots on the ladder, so pick 8 may not be better & they get Tim a year earlier).

Arbitration? He's contracted to play for us next year lol.

Was Oscar Allen playing back today?

Only asking as he’s been linked to the demons in here. And it’s a strange move

Eagles In: English picks 12, 15, 16, 23
Out : Allen, pick 1

Melbourne In: Allen, Future second
Out: picks 4, 15, 23 Grundy (full Salary)

Bulldogs: In pick 1, 4, Grundy
Out: English, picks 12, 16, future second.
Wow, Grundy, Reid and potentially Watson and Croft for loosing that.

Melbourne are chasing Oscar Allen they're not going to trade for pick 1
Although that makes those a holes better by a lot, it bodes well for us getting Reid for English, people comparing Reid to say JHF are mistaken, Reid will be a more better and valuable player then Daicos is when both in their prime.

This will get a lot of hate, but I doubt shoey will get another year at west coast. I’d be keen for us to throw him a year and see if he can get the body right.

When fit his still a good player. I think he would be a perfect link up player for a year at no cost.

At worst he could be like jed adcock in 2016

He’s absolutely cooked. Just no.

Worth mentioning Caleb Poulter is only 20 as well. I can wear the few mistakes he makes, done alot right. Might turn in to whipping boy though.
I think Poulter has shown enough to suggest he could develop into a valuable bottom 4-6 player, who does his job and we don’t lament how shit our bottom end talent is (like we do with McNeil, Hannan, etc.). Great outcome from a free hit.

My version of your trade:

Melbourne In: Allen
Out: picks 4, 15, Grundy (full Salary)

Bulldogs: In pick 1, Grundy
Out: English, pick 12

I'd be OK with that.

From the sounds, the Eagles taking the Franco Cozzo approach to trading this year and who could blame them?

If we were to lose English, which is worst case, We always get bent over at the trade table so I can’t see that happening
