What compensation will we receive from the AFL?

Apparently according to that Boys Club book they covered up our poor handling of the Talia brothers game plan leak.

They will only hand out some corruption to benefit us if they can also hide their own failings

Dont confuse amateur with corruption. The fact the AFL are the most amateurish official body of any sporting league in the world is what leads to decisions like this. They chase money at every turn, they put in place half cocked and ill thought through processes, they are all over the place when it comes to making league wide decisions, they lack consistency and they just silence everyone whose against them by threatening broadcast bans from its partners.

Weren't we the ones that suggested our own punishment so we could keep the idiots that got us into that mess.
That was Chapman. The biggest ****ing cancer you’ll ever come across.

Chapman was like The Zec in Jack Reacher.

Would chew his own hand off to survive.

Horrible human being. Amazed the club didn’t have to fold from that incompetent selfish cancerous campaigner.

Never had there been a more self indulgent prick on the planet. I hope he burns in hell.

Condolences to all Adelaide fans.
I feel your pain.
Whether overall you deserved to win or not, that was a goal - proven on footage, available to the umpire in real time. The reaction of players on the field should have been enough to call for a review.
I hope your club makes some kind of protest: I know that in your shoes I would be devastated if nothing was forthcoming.
I loved how you played this season.
Going forward, much to look forward to.

Shameful goal umpiring decision and an even worse decision not to review it that's cost both of our clubs.

If you guys want to burn down AFL house then count me in, my torch is ready.

Yeah and this is exactly the point....it IS supposed to be the players who decide the match. For a multitude of reasons from skill, endeavour, fitness, lucky bounces, structure, 1 good quarter or 3, it SHOULD be the players who decide the result. NOT such a goal umpire howler that is easily...very easily avoided in the last minute.
If we'd elevated our game in the first three quarters to a 5/10 performance we'd have won this in a canter and no one would care about one inept decision

Instead it is a massive issue because we were so utterly useless for so long we needed everything to go right at the death

So in the NHL a goal can be scored and play will continue.
Toronto will review what happens blow a horn reward a goal on review and then reset the clock and drop the puck.
Why can’t we implement something like that?

Crows were flat out robbed.
Just get rid of the touching the post rule. If it goes through it goes through.

Yep. So many emotions watching tonight.

We didn't deserve to win
We played three quarters of the most insipid, inept, timid football I've ever seen
Our selections were a pathetic joke
We came out with sloth-like intensity
Our experienced players disgraced themselves for the first half in particular
The only positive coaching move came from a poke in the eye

Yet, with just 30 minutes of good football we should have won the game and were robbed by pure incompetence. A reminder that our best football is genuinely good. Our worst is wooden spoon quality. We saw the extremes tonight
Collingwood win many games by playing a quarter of footy, it doesn’t change the perception of them. It was an all time win from 44 points down that was taken from us, I’ve never been this angry after a Crows game. It’s cost this group a chance to test themselves in finals if other results fell their way, some may never get that chance again.

My only silver lining is that it just drives this group over the pre season to come out absolutely rampaging in 2024 and push top 4, we are good enough if we can start winning even just half of these close games.

F$ck this for a bad joke. Take this farce to court, season done by a point because of this.

Pretty much. He should have confirmed his decision. For some reason he thought it hit the post. As I said, I think he got conned by a perfect storm of noise and goal post movement. Plus if a swans player said it hit the post. Should have been reviewed. But I do fear a soft hit post call would have been labelled inconclusive anyway even though we can see it missed.
Lol. There was nothing inconclusive about it. The replays are about as categoric as it gets.

That doesn’t matter, it doesn’t matter when Collingwood win after playing like shite for 3 quarters (remember ANZAC Day game?). Teams can play like shit for 3 quarters and still win a game of footy, it’s why they always say you need to play 4 quarters.

Can they give us the Collingwood win at AO from earlier in the year? We dominated for 3 quarters and were overrun by a team that played one good quarter.

Collingwood used up their luck and lost a close one in the finals last year, eliminated

This will flatten us imho, not the other way around. A finals taste would have been gold.

Some will blame the goal umpire I know. I blame us getting pulverised at home by an average team for two and a half quarters

No point appealing this result either, the AFL will sweep it under the carpet and claim that the goal umpire made the right decision despite the evidence.

They will never admit they got it wrong just like the Petracca shot at goal last week that should have been called a goal.

Not like you to be glass half empty. If these closes losses could drive Collingwood and Port to start winning them in the following season, it can for us too. Or are you saying we can’t win even just 2-3 of these close ones next year and secure a top 6 spot? We have had the 2nd hardest fixture and will miss finals from an incorrect umpiring decision, anyone can see we are progressing faster than expected.
