If the Adelaide situation happened to Carlton I think I'd struggle to watch the sport again.

You can't be a multi billion dollar professional sporting enterprise yet be this adminstratively incompetent.

This would never happen in <insert pretty much every other professional sport there is>.
Something happened with a change of a red leather ball in the UK recently that was pretty damning on the result…

Remember Aus vs Japan football 2006 WC when the ref gave a Japanese player 3 yellow cards somehow?

Goal line tech definitely needs to be improved but officiating controversies happen all the time in every sport.

That's an embarrassing decision that influenced the result of a game and ultimately cost the team finals. Not good enough in a multi billion industry.

So we've had this one in soccer, changing the ball in the ashes test, there was "deflatefategate" in the nfl when a team was found to be letting the air out of balls to suit their quarterback, netball had a recent one where the umpires gave the wrong team the centre start which influenced the outcome.

Sadly human error happens where their are humans involved. It's only when it is done deliberately (e.g. point shaving in college basketball) that it gets sinister.

It just had to be our old “friend”, Ben Keays, didn’t it?

What happened to every goal getting reviewed? If this was us, or impacted us..I'd be livid. I know last week was touch and go and helped us get the win, but this 'behind' clearly didn't hit the post.

The AFL allows time for a break so the broadcasters can get 2 ads in, but can't get a review done in this time. What a joke!

It wasn't a 'goal' for them to review, it was called a behind. So they don't have time to automatically review, they need the goal or field umpire to call for the review. Which definitely should have happened. Shocking error.

Feel for Adelaide they were absolutely robbed by a bad call that should have been reviewed and overturned, but as a Carlton fan boy am I glad the crows didn't sneak into 8th.

Probably the only team I didn't want us to face in week 1 of the finals, sydney maybe the other but I still have nightmares of that gather round game.

Went across to the Crows Board for a looksey...
Court injunctions..
AFL conspiracies..
Umpire bias..

Thought I was on the Blues Board for a sec. 🤣

There is still scope for us to play any of Sydney, Dogs, St Kilda or GWS in the first week of finals. Who would we rather?
Dogs or Sydney for me.

GWS's form is pretty ****ing spectacular at present. St Kilda match up pretty well against us, and have had a pretty strong matchup against us for a long time.

St Kilda at the G would be a significantly more attractive prospect for us than at Marvel.

But agree, Bulldogs is by far the preference, they have really struggled against the better teams this year. Also agree that Giants are going to be tricky in a final. If Dogs lose to Geelong and we can knock off GWS this week (which is possibly unlikely given they will have so much on the line), then we get the Dogs.
