I hate that we are now described as "Ken Hinkley's Port Adelaide". No other team gets that, heck I can't even recall the Collingwood fella's name.

Last night was inevitable, simply because no-one wanted to inflict a devastating home prelim loss on "our Kenny". This way, even if we make the prelim, we can get flogged in Melbourne and the media will still gush over how we overachieved.

I hate what Koch and Hinkley have turned us into, except that it's not "us" anymore.

Hinkley is clever, as a coach instead of being ruthless he number 1) makes sure that the players love him by making it easier for them by lowering the bar, happy happy. 2) gets chummy and is nice to the media. So when the players love me and the media love me how can you sack me.
A con man at his best, we need players that play for the jumper and the fans, not the pathetic loser coach.

What disappoints so much is that Tredrea was a lone voice in calling out Hinkley, where are all the ex players that supposedly love the club, they are good at talking about Jack and the good times and living off of the past premierships.
Very sad that they don't care, or don't have the guts to stand up, so un Port Adelaide.

I don’t think the solution here is necessarily to only hire Port people as our head coaches, but Ken is our first non-Port person as a head coach, probably going back to when head coaches first became a thing. It’s looking more and more obvious that his prior lack of investment in the club is translating to this attitude that winning isn’t important.

We could have had Kingsley but apparently there are no good young coaches out there.

When the current custodians of the club are doing unPort like things then the past players should do the same and speak up. Unfortunately years ago the club severed the voice from players of that era and so we pretty much have the history of an upstart afl club. You can't rely on the 2004 mob, they're a mixed bag.

But in saying that, not even an upstart afl club would keep a proven losing coach for 11+2 years!!!

Nobody is my guess. We'll just push on and get told it's not the SANFL anymore, what more can you expect Hinkley to do, etc.
