AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Whilst our ITKs can’t tell us IF we’re going to trade the pick (or for what), they can tell us Reid is #1. Up to you if you want to believe it or not but I’m telling you at this point in time, it’s a fact.Based on?
Anyone that believes they can come to bigfooty and learn an AFL clubs draft order is living on another planetHow the * would anyone know who was on any AFL team's draft board? Teams are just sharing this info with any nuffy?

I don't want to get too conspiratorial but the rumour that WC and North had made a deal for Reid was floated a day or two before the rumour pick 11 would be the compo and not Sanders.Thats what I'm thinking.
If we did I’m pretty sure Lathlain would be burnt to the ground. There's talk the AFL will give us pick 11 but maybe force us to trade it with pick 2 to you guys for pick 1. Honestly it sounds a bit stupid to me but would you guys even accept in that situation?
FWIW, I’d be very surprised if WCE agreed to a deal involving a PP being given to another team. Listen to Rohan O’Brien discussing the Club’s view on this on Gettable and of course Trevor Nisbett shooting himself in the foot months ago by saying we wouldn’t ask for a PP and are dead against other teams getting them.I don't want to get too conspiratorial but the rumour that WC and North had made a deal for Reid was floated a day or two before the rumour pick 11 would be the compo and not Sanders.
Both could be, and probably are, bullshit rumours but North could have gone to the AFL with agreement from WC.
I’ll withhold judgment until I see him dance.Anyone else get Buffalo Bill vibes from Silence of the Lambs from Curtin?
I think burning the club to the ground for trading pick 1 for pick 2 and pick 11 is a massive overreaction. It isn't the godfather pick 2 + 3 + 4 that WC fans want and it's way more than most North fans want to give up but it's a pretty fair deal to move up/down 1 spotIf we did I’m pretty sure Lathlain would be burnt to the ground.
He's also on record saying he'd be happy to move to Perth if drafted by WCE.His manager is always going to say that publicly. Reid is however on record publicly saying he is a country boy and family means a lot to him. I would read more into that than Reid's manager saying it's not an issue.

This is fun. I for one appreciate your input. These are bullshit rumours.
You think any club will 'agree' to a trade whilst the season is ongoing and before the trade/FA period has even started?
You'd have to be daft to believe that.
Not sure if we will hang onto them or not, gold coast is looking to trade down for more points, and a few other clubs are wanting to trade up, so we may yet split for more top end picks. The noises are that the 3 year contracts will be done and dusted for the draft which is good news for you too.
Yes agreed, until Brady and Rohan sit down for a chat bearing in mind they have a very good relationship. I’m very impressed by McKercher. If you listen to him on Gettable he literally says he doesn’t want to leave Melbourne and will be less of an issue for you guys to hang onto than us.
I think you should hang onto your picks and get McKercher, one of Curtin/Watson and O’Sullivan if he slides or Murphy. That would be a great result IMO.

Or maybe Peter Weller who played RobocopAnyone else get Buffalo Bill vibes from Silence of the Lambs from Curtin?
I filled this with disclaimers to make it blatantly obvious that it was just a bullshit hypothetical that could explain how the assistance could work. Yet, it still managed to trigger the resident eagles lurker who is so insecure about Reid that they feel the need to butt into any discussion of WC trading him on the entire site. These are bullshit rumours.

Yep, I personally find the idea that WC wouldn't take Reid at pick 1 to be utterly ridiculous. They need quality mids and they've got a good record of keeping interstate recruits.Forget about Reid, WC would want way overs to trade the pick anyway, he's in a nice to have basket but not a necessary with where we are as a list. Bid on Walter at 2 and take 2 of Curtin/mckercher/Watson at 3 and 4 and get creative with the Porf pick with our future second.

I saw a trade between us, GC and Melb that looked pretty decent honestly. Numbers add up, biggest point winner was gc, melbourne lose out on the points scale a bit but get pick 2.
North would end up with picks 3, 5(4) and 6(5) if McKay compo band 1, instead of 2, 3, and 15(14).
We’d be giving up the best and exact player we’re in desperate need of for pick 2 and a pick that will end up 16-17 in a very shallow draft. No thanks.I think burning the club to the ground for trading pick 1 for pick 2 and pick 11 is a massive overreaction. I think most people outside of Port Adelaide accepts that JHF is a whinging little b***t who wanted to have his cake by going #1 and eat it too. After the weekend’s performance I’d say both our clubs are closer to a flag than Port. One thing I am very confident of is that if Harley Reid does land in Perth, he won’t leave. Our club, weather, TPP, business opportunities, the fact that it’s a big country town and the Hip-E Club will make sure of that.Sorry to burst your bubble but did you see a picture of Judarse Whoren-Francis sleeping in his North jammy top on draft night??
“I want to go number 1, I am happy to go anywhere”.
A few moments later…
“This club is in disarray and I want to go home” right on the eve of trade week…
Not saying that Reid is anything like JWhF but players say what needs to be said as do their managersz
While I agree with most of it, I dont agree with the the bolded partI think most people outside of Port Adelaide accepts that JHF is a whinging little b***t who wanted to have his cake by going #1 and eat it too.
