List build takes time and it’s clear they know their deficiencies, hence why they are chasing these various players.

They won 17 games. No one would have given them that many at start of year. Hardly this makes the list “no good” as you would say it.

He's been there 11 years without a premiership.

Hinkley has had them playing finals regularly, but not winning them. After a certain number of years (some might suggest before they reach double figures) of trying and failing it's a case of what have they got to lose by giving someone else a shot.

Hinkley is the guy who keeps losing at the arcade but won't stand aside and let someone else have a chance to play the machine. Kochie is the parent who keeps giving him change to play with.

Here's the thing though he doesnt really have them playing them regularly. Missed last year. Missed the 2 years before '20-'21. missed the 2 years before we knocked them out in '17.
So after the initial success of '13-'14 he's played finals 4 out of 9 years after that.
Him and Bevo are similar in the yo-yo'ing except Bevo has 2 GF's and a premiership to show for it.
