Well that’s a s**t way to end the season. Umps saved the best treatment for the last minute. So many duckers on the pies team, notably squibcos and mitchell.
Brisbane were poor though. Played so slow and defensively. Despite the close finish I thought it was a pretty poor game. Hill should win the Dusty medal.

Brisbane were SO frustrating. They were so reluctant to handball or run and carry. And their defence couldn't stop Collingwood counter-attacks even with an extra man back and Collingwood lacking an elite KPF.

Anyone who says umpiring calls don't influence games, this one just influenced the Grand final. Gave the Pies possession and they chipped it around for a minute.

Brisbane had a chance to get an inside 50 and repeat stoppages that could have led to a goal.

That call may very well have cost Brisbane a flag.

Play on their home ground versus team who had won at the ground once in about last 15 attempts and sneaks in by 4-points. A neutral ground Lions win by 3-goals and at the GABBA they win by 5-goals.

Luckiest Premiers. Should not have won any of the finals. Melbourne out played them just didn’t kick straight and GWS s**t the bed in the last 5 minutes with a helping hand from the umps.
I would say if they had kicked straight today the match wouldn’t have been that close, but that advantage play on should never be forgotten or forgiven.

Collonwood can get away with chicken wing tackles and driving opppos heads in the ground, they were always going to win.
