Can play anywhere. Incredibly balanced, neat kick, good overhead.

I don't want to dream about getting him. Will be left heartbroken

Better than a neat kick to me. Can switch the play with a kick not many can make or would even try, like that he looks to use the corridor when possible.

What makes you think P6 will get O'Sullivan. He may be well past, by that pick.

All clubs are looking for key tall backs, presently. IMV he will go above his projected pick.

Then we take any of the 5 players that I listed in the previous post instead...?

There is a clear top 6 - Reid, Mckercher, Duursma, Sanders, Watson, Curtin

Then next 3 standouts - O Sullivan, Caddy, Windsor

Then it drops off. If we can snare one from each pack we would have done well.

Do we have control over Casey’s lineup? In that can we demand Tmac and Brown don’t play in the seniors?

They are going to stunt Jefferson’s growth if they are plodding along like cruise liners in Casey’s forward line all year

Tmac and Brown will have Bee Guarding Duty next year.

Would North consider trading their pick 3 back to our pick 6? Give them a late first rounder for their troubles and it makes it easier for them justify a Sanders selection who they are keen on.

Doubt it unless they are planning on taking Sanders with pick 3 anyway. They already have two late firsts this year. Use 2 and 3 to get the absolute cream of the draft.

Dodoro cops a lot of flak (deservedly) but he is taking some big swings with his last trade period: B McKay, Duursma, Gresham, Goldstein

Is Tim Lamb jostling to take the crown of being the stupidest list manager for 2024 onwards?

Out: Grundy, Jordon, Harmes, Dunstan, Hibberd
In: Two state league plodders

-they're paying nearly a million dollars a year for a bang average key defender

  • Duursma is an ordinary footballer
  • Goldstein is a million years old
  • Gresham lol.

Quite often players in new environments thrive, or shakes up the status quo of the existing squad.

If the shoe was on the other foot:

  1. Goldstein will outplay Fullarton every day of the week
  2. Gresham is better footballer than McAdam and is just as durable!
  3. Duursma would be the jewel of the crown
Bummers trade period is shaping up to be much better than what we are doing.

They are taking big swings to imprve their list. Tim Lamb is at his desk contemplating his navel.

I think two narrow finals losses has him overrating the state of our list.

Nearly all flag winners get their best players from the draft. I dont think there are any quick fixes out there worth pursuing.

Like Goldstein, Gresham and Duursma move the needle. More mid players for a mid list

These acquisitions should help Essendon maintain a position between 7th and 12th

We do not need to get our 'best players' though. Just need to fix some issues in our list.

The fact that the club came out and declared DJ Shitboy is a 'required player' is a clear signal that we are overrating our list.

I am not saying that Goldstein, Duursma and Gresham are world beaters. But they are leagues better than Fullarton and McAdam.

Our biggest move this year was testing the market for Oliver.
