So I have been busy with kids and haven't watched almost any draft stuff.

The top end of this class seems insane.

Flicked on a Caddy video and he's aerially dominant, switched on some Watson and he's got beautiful composure and use in tight.

Am I getting the highlight bias problem or is the potential that good this year

Add another pick under 25 with our F1 in amongst the other deals and I'd be happy with any combination of

Leake
Collard
Schoenmaker
Edwards
Callinan
Windsor

Would much prefer that than Sanders who is a definite talent but more of the same for our midfield.

Really want to be convinced with Tholstrup but something just doesn't sit right with me about him as a player, dunno why.

The consensus seems to be that the top 10 (including 2 Suns academy players) is very strong. Twomey just said he thinks Windsor is becoming the stand-out 11.
And then across the next 20 odd, there are varying assessments of the players, ie clubs will have very different orders.

You reckon he's the one we're eyeing
Can anyone tell me what Austin is doing handing over pick #17 and Fish to NM (a big bonus for them as we seem to be rewarding them for taking fish off us?!!) for two picks in the twenties, as I just don`t get what he is up to with that trade as far as improving our draft hand goes, especially as he has stated that the club want to move forward in the draft to get a really good player........maybe I am missing something that is super clever with all that?!!

I love the idea of Cowan and Tholstrup backing up Weiters across the next decade, adding some campaigner to defence.....
He's a Colt?
And his name is Kolt(yn)?
That's a big yes from me.
Best name I've heard in a while.

Koltyn Thursdrup.

I mean, camon...it sounds like galloping thunder!

My read is that we were in talks to move up but were outbid by clubs with more/better assets. Could be wrong on that.

Splitting 17 into 21 and 25 (by throwing in Fisher, values him around Pick 30) makes sense if we evenly rate a number of players who we expect to go between 15 and 25. Could be one of those weird situations where the player we get at 21 is the same one we would have reached for slightly at 17 based on our preferences.

He’s taking a long time to get on board with Leake. He’s right up in the top quality first ten or so in my opinion.

It's not so much that with CT. He isn't a guy who is watching lots of matches and making his own assessment of a player's worth. He's a reporter. He is very close with the 18 list managers, and gets a feeling for where they are each rating the potential draftees. This is why his lists are so accurate year after year. If he's late to the party with Leake, it's because that's a reflection of how the list managers feel about him.

I’m not sure we should take a Leake. (Stupid I know). When you can pee wherever you like in a paddock, I should have no such concerns. If it wasn’t for the damn medication.

The rumours on ‘Colonel’ Sanders at 8 are interesting though.

I’d take big Conner myself.

Where's this WA chb/ruck project player who did well at combine rated?
Very subjective and difficult to rate

Consensus probably has him mid to late second ATM, but for a club who can’t fill a KPD need in trade or higher picks, could get as high as a late first when we get to the event.

Zane Zakostelsky.

Raw footage is good. Best games as undersized, athletic ruck. Played KPD in a couple of championship games, adequate, not outstanding. Recent convert from a ………….. background. Upside huge, due diligence in order to equate the step up from WA colts level. Late birthday and significant upward spiral.

I am (reservedly) on the bandwagon.

Goad is a very good ruck prospect. Will be a great get for someone in need of a developing ruck. Screams Adelaide or Melbourne (among others) for progression plans. He is not a real versatile, possible KPD type and we have a commitment to O’Keeffe already as our project ruck progression.

Thanks for posting that, I'm now a draft expert...

Just looking at that, I'll be happy with two of the following for #21 and #25:
16. KOLTYN THOLSTRUP
20. HARRY DeMATTIA
29. LANCE COLLARD

Make it so #Austin!
Archie Robert’s would be a great pick up paired with DeMattia.

Anyone got a line of sight on George Stevens? Looks like a star from what I have seen.

Probably not the line of sight you're looking for, and it's only one man's opinion, but there are 3 rated
players who i wouldn't take in the first 2 rounds:

Darcy Wilson
Archie Roberts
George Stevens
