It's been a fantastic season either way if we make the playoffs or not. I was pretty concerned that Love just didn't have the tools given to him to be able to properly assess his play when we went through that rough patch, but clearly any concern about that has gone.

He's adding millions to his contract every game he plays. To dice a defense up like that last night, it truly was awesome. Reed and Wicks have proven to be WRs of the future and along with hopefully Watson and potentially Doubs etc we are looking so promising offensively.

There's no doubt to me that they keep Jones around on some sort of re-worked deal and what they do with Dillon will be interesting but unfortunately it's probably time to move on. Lots of holes to fill still, whether that's whatever ends up happening with most of the offensive line, the DBs, probably MLB, then more DL depth too probably too.

It's just interesting to think where this team could be sitting in the seeding if we had a competent DC.

This was always a growth year with how young the O is. It's been a huge success to still be playing a meaningful game in week 18.

A new DC who can make the most out of the talent and draft a center and we are a playoff team next season.

Exactly right. I think it's probably a surprise though to have an offense you can actually trust for the most part, and despite knowing Barry I did think our defense would be pretty solid this year.

If you told me how much football Jaire, Jones and Bakh have missed I'd have thought we'd be picking top 5.

I just love what I’m watching on offense. Apart from the issues Watson has staying on the park. Bloody hell. I didn’t think the start of the year was all on love, and the last 1/2 of the year has well and truely proven that. The moment isn’t too big for him so far in his career

So Aaron Rodgers ended up getting us pick 13 [Van Ness],42 [Mustgrave] and Pick pick 41 in the upcoming draft for Rodgers and Pick 15 last draft. along with some late round swap.

We got younger and better.

The distribution of the ball is what impresses me most... 4100yds to 16 receivers, 9 with 200+ rec yards, and noone over 800. It helps that we don't have any stars (thanks Jaquan), and we don't... yet. But!

Reed, Doubs, Wicks, Musgrave, Watson, Heath and Melton, not all of them will be stars, but even if only half of go on, it's still going to be some good weapons. Even if its only two of them with Jones, it's more than what AR12 had to work with the last few years.

We do need to shore up the O-Line though, and as good as Jones is NOW, when Love & Co. hit their prime in 2-3 years, he'll be basically done, and Dillon is nowhere close to Jones, so another talent is required. I'd be going OLine in the 1st and RB with one of our 2nds. Not sure what the draft is like for RBs, but could potentially wait until '25 for one if there's noone we really like.

Center and a versatile guard is what we need, i would look there with 1st round pick. also might look at a day 3 tall WR see if we can find a gem there.

I think Jones will take less to stay again, Dillion will be pushed out so look for a day 2 RB

That's a pretty simplistic view, were we any better cos Love was under Centre this year as opposed to Rodgers?? Maybe, probably not IMO. But it's all 'what if?' cos we didn't get a chance to see how AR12 would come back from a poor year.

I know you're desperate to lay into Rodgers any chance you get, take his and your own personal beliefs out of it, and we're talking about the greatest Packer to ever wear the jersey. In no way should he have been counted out, and if it was in any way possible to stay on as a Packer, he had done more than enough to be afforded the highest of faiths.

We got better because Aaron wasnt taking extra time to build chemistry timing with the young WR's.

I love what Aaron did for us, but we made the right decision to move on.
I love him as a player and was the QB for most of my good memories, but his ego and attitude the last few years made it easy to move on. He was too interested in hero ball and not taking the check down, along with not giving extra time to the young kids. Which sucks because he wasnt a fan of Brett doing that to him. I love that he still calls the Packers "us and we". It shitts me that he broke his thumb on a play against the Giants that never should of happened if we put the game away when we had the chances. and that derailed our year last season.
Im not going to discredit or discount the 14 amazing years he gave us as a starter.
I said it when we traded him. I hope the best for him at the Jets, It sucks we didnt get a chance to see what he still has. But we had to make the move. I feel like some of the decisions the team made had him fall out of love with the game. same thing happened when we drafted Love and it lit a fire under him, but he didnt react the same way to losing Adams.

Off field his views have gone from quirky to "please shut the hell up"

Can't leave Tucker Kraft out of that group either, really came into his own when Musgrave went down.

I also agree with this and why love is the better fit for these WR’s. He doesn’t care about who they are or what round they were drafted in. He throws to who’s open, or whatever the read is. I think in the end Aaron was playing favourites, looking for ‘his’ people. And in turn, never looked like we had WR’s open for any easy completions. Yards always felt so hard to get in the end passing wise. Bo melton + heath are great examples. Especially melton, Like this kid has stood up with the others out and it’s like ‘who is this bloke’. Never would have happened with Aaron as qb.

It was sad it got to the end with Aaron how it did but I think it was just clear he needed a change, gb definitely needed a change and it’s worked out so far for us. I was absolutely shattered he got injured this year cause I was rooting for him at the jets and would have watched all there games purely cause of him.

Anyway if our defense can hold Dallas just tiny bit who knows what we can do if we get the running game going against them. Don’t even care if we lose. Just stoked with the growth over the year

Matt LeFleur should be right up there for coach of the year consideration imo

The job he has done this year with this team of kids and his ability to change to allow JLo to flourish has been amazing

Don't know what he has to do to get one... win 13 games in three straight seasons, it's all because of Rodgers. Gets rid of Rodgers and makes playoffs with one of the youngest teams ever, barely gets a mention.

Ryans will be a deserving winner, but it really should be neck and neck.

But, he'll be under-rated until he wins a Superbowl. Most coaches are. Think about Andy Reid, before the Superbowl wins, it was "Yeah, he's a good coach but..." after the Superbowl win "yeah best coach in the league".

Not sure if its sarcasm or not :/, but those early years he wasn't that bad. He just didn't evolve enough and got stale pretty quickly!

we really shouldve made the SB in 2011 and the less said about the F-wit TE in 2014 the better.
besides that, we fell into playoffs because we are kin the NFC North
A 5-6 playoff record after the SB is not really that good

Really don't need to see that again....

But no, that's my point, Superbowl year and before he was doing just fine. And it went downhill from there...

Was a proud day yesterday.

People were questioning LaFleur's job this year. I was myself.

It's been a remarkable turnaround no matter what happens from here.

A 'rebuilding year' some called it, the players didn't like that at all.

It's funny how well they've done with so much cap room tied up in nothing (12, 69)

Jordan's two throws to Wicks and Doubs for TDs were seriously out of this world.

Just looking forward to the season being another week longer!

Overall that was a successful season, but to lose like that is just so incredibly disappointing.

We have some interesting decisions to make in the off-season now. With the contracts of Bakhtiari, Smith and Jones, we need a new DC, new kicker, majority of our safeties are FAs and I'd imagine we'd want to extend Love.
