Lever isn't quick, so it's not a necessity - pace is nice to have though.

I thought the club would take the conservative route and start him in the VFL this year, even with his ripping 1.5 quarters against Richmond. Thrilled that they’ve backed him in because from what I can see he’s just a flat out better and smarter player than Frampton. Here’s hoping the debut that should have happened 2 years ago is a great one, because he sure as hell proved he can play with the big boys when he was given his chance last week.

Agree. The really positive aspect of this early selection is it franks the hope that the coaching group really rate him. Backs the sentiments Leppa expressed at the intraclub a few weeks back

We went very well when we picked Checkers he has been a fine player for the club has topped the goal kicking for the club most of the season,s he has been here.
I think Charlie was actually a forward when he first started be we definitely need him down back now and he is still only 22 for a few more weeks anyway.
