We have a really young group of guys who really believe in Freo like recruits who have wanted to be with us. The local rag put so much emphasis on players like Schultz wanting to leave Freo and overlooked some of our current champs like Clark, Sharp and Jackson who specifically wanted to join us and have made a huge difference (even Jaegar O'Meara). I believe you work bettr when you enjoy who you are working with.

Jordan Clark could have easily ended up at West Coast. Sharp spoke so well during the podcast about his love for Freo.

Great to see Jordy kick his first goal for the season and everyone celebrate with him.

It's all coming together. Starting to get massive 2012 vibes
Need to keep pushing the accelerator down though.
We dropped the ball on trades, drafts back then.
Once Kirk took off, then others it left Ross with total control.
Just one more decent forward in 2013 and the Hawks were done.
Seemed we were happy to get Ross and concentrate on Cockburn, didn’t
keep our eyes on the prize.

The biggest difference is our best players aren't in their last three years. 2012 was amazing as were the years following. However it was the end of Pac, McPharlin, Sandi, Johnson and others peaks. Now we are at the 06 end of that timeline.

Which is why we have an amazing run ahead of us and the development of Clark and Chapman makes us ridiculous on the talent front.

Jackson, Amiss, Chappy, Clark, Brayshaw, Serong, Young, Cox, Darcy, Treacy and Ryan (who is a touch older than the others on this list). All have been or could be AA level players.

Freddy has the potential to be AA. Sharp is developing before our eyes. Walker is improving and has the tools to be one of the hardest small defenders to play against.

If we look at the players who will be out of the team in the next three to four years:

Walters, Fyfe, JOM, Tabs, Hughes and Pearce.

The only concern is Pearce and I would hope that Draper or Davies will be able to hold down a post next to Cox and Ryan.

it is a bloody exciting time to be a Freo supporter!

We average a 90 point win when Sean Darcy has a good game in 2024. He could be the key for us making an impact in 2024

I think he will be huge. JL confirmed what a lot of us have discussed. Which is that Darcy can wear down the bigger rucks and Jackson can come in and jump over them. This is beneficial in the game and through the season as both rucks should remain in better condition. Big key for us long term!

Got a chance to watch the replay. I have to say I underestimated how good Chapman was. He got 24 quality possessions but also shut down Melbourne most dangerous forward in Fritsch. Chappy didn't just limit his influence he kept a player in top 10 go;l kickers in the AFL scoreless and dominated him so much in the last quarter Fritsch was moved into the backline. One of the best games of his short career.

I was literally going to ask who was on Fritsch as I haven't watched the game yet. Well done Chapman, Fritsch can be so dangerous, so brilliant to see Chapman back and in form.

Chappy's been absolutely brilliant since returning from injury. His kicking is absolutely elite and he's done a great job closing down smalls and talls.

Just thinking, if we get Warner we could have the Chapman AND the "Chadman" running around for Freo. Wooooooo......that would be nice!

Warner would be so ideal its not funny as we could start him onball in centre clearances to give us burst pace from the middle and start Brayshaw on a wing. In general play they could then swap roles with Warner linking up play on a wing and Bryshaw onball. Warner would be one of the better kicks into the forward fifty and is also hugely dangerous when resting forward. I'd trade 3 first rounders to get him wihout a second thought. We could play him more forward than Sydney does to help our forward line too. Currently its a dream but if the afl allows a team to trade picks two drafts ahead that would help to get him.
And all under 24 years old!!
Yes indeed.

It is a beautiful dream... If he wants to come home I wouldn't think they could get a better draft hand than the three firsts.

We are set for a great 5 years to 10 I think. Any player we bring in, should be good for at least 5 years, ideally 10 years

Jackson 22, Serong is 23, Brayshaw 24, Young 24, Treacy 22, Amiss 20, Darcy 25

Sharp, Chapman, Clark, Walker are all under 24.

Ryan and Pearce are 28, and should have 5 years more.
Cox is only 25.

That is 14 players you can build the next 5 year around, and 11 players you can build the next 10 years around.

Frederick, Switta, Johnson, Erasmus bring the 14 to 18 and you can see our depth is good for the next 10 years.
Draper, Davies are ready to replace any KPD injuries, or Ryan.

I think we should be targeting 10 years of top 4 football, and any player we bring must add to our dynasty (top 10 player on list, not bottom 10 or fill a hole). I am happy to hit the draft this year, or use one for Baker and then go all in for Warner.

Add Sturt, 3 first round draft picks this year, 1 early 2nd rounder, Banfield, plus a few depth players and the more you think about it, the depth is good to great. We just need some top end talent, small forwards and maybe some more run and carry.

What a time to be a freo supporter!!

I can't wait for the second half of the season. Play and win a final, see how far we go!

It is incredibly rare to have so many A graders together in the same age bracket. Then to have our KPF trio all under 23! Amazing time at the club!

If we got Warner, the CCC would be busy investigating the links between Freo and the underworld of the Sharks Empire.

The connections are been investigated to links with known fiends, Dogga & Sharp.

Now we get to look forward to adding Shai Bolton to a premiership team.
