We pass melbourne with a win regardless. Percentage is our enemy. The most useful results for us are the ones that blunt high percentages. Wins or losses don’t matter as we have to win to get in anyways.
Giants only just winning keeps us 11th. It was actually a nil all draw result. Melbourne are still in the hunt and the percentage stays the same. Can't rely on any sides to do us favours except for the Saints today we just need to keep winning and take everything out of the equation.

If we'd got this version of Jesse Hogan 10 years ago we would have had a star.
Melbourne might have a couple more premierships too.

Melbourne simply do not use it well enough. You cannot fault their effort or hardness. But even their GF win was a completely non functional forward setup masked by midfield goals.

Carlton and Melbourne are horrendously coached.

Melbourne have some boys that can’t get out of a jog.

Can anyone explain competitive balance fairness? Looks like 5 of the final 8 will be from outside victoria, and the only melb teams witll be carlton who are off the boil and whoever sneaks into the 8th spot

Eagles have had a good 5 mins. Tim Kelly seems to have rediscovered a bit of form

reckon melb are done now & dons too. So 9 teams in it - 7 currently inside the 8 plus us and the dogs outside.

Be good to get a game up on the doggies if all goes well tomorrow.

Vic clubs have won 10 of the last 11 GF’s - I’m sure the AFL are fine with it

What needs to be explained about that?

Literally every result going against us
If your worrying about other results , you literally will go crazy .
It's a tight comp and teams form are fluctuating from being top 4 one week to having the death wobbles within a few weeks .

Keep our form and keep winning, we make it. Lose an unexpected game or hit a trough , we won't. It's actually that simple .

There will be a few more curve balls to come. It won't matter if we keep winning.

Re: McKay

I'm going to go against the grain here, but I back Sam and the clubs decision on making a play for McKay and making him a better player in our system. Look how many players Sam has brought in who are flourishing who would of otherwise been struggling had they stayed with their previous team.

Take Massimo as an example, if he passed on coming to Hawthorn you could almost guarentee he'd be struggling in this Bombers line up in fact he may of found himself floundering in the VFL for most of the season. There was already a very unfavourable oppinion of him amongst Bombers supporters when he played for them. 100% right now there would be people in here laughing how we dodged a bullet with Massimo, same with Chol had he stayed, or Ginni with the struggling Pies.

I'll back Sam's judgement over armchair experts.

What does it matter?
If it's not the hawks it could be made up of no Victorian teams for all I care
