I watched about 5 minutes of the GC game on the weekend and in that time, Rioli got the ball 3 times, got talked up for being gun (to be fair, one pick up was mint) and then butchered all 3 kicks.

Pick 6 for him at 28 is nuts.

They've had so many handouts, normal picks have little value to them.

They literally gave Geelong pick 7 to take one of their players, pick 6 for Rioli is one of their more responsible trades and I agree it's absolutely disgusting.

Someone mentioned this on the main board thread but the draft support used to support GC is basically being passed onto whoever trades with them at this point.

This club should be folded when Tasmania comes in.

The funniest thing about this is a not small number of Richmond supporters think they shouldnt trade him unless its pick 6 AND the Dogs pick. I hope to have a dynasty and be as delusional as that board one day

I know what it was, they still gifted a club pick 7 to take a player so pick 6 for Rioli isn't too bad in comparison. No other club is sending a player and a top 10 pick to a club for a future 3rd, picks don't matter to GC.

People mentioning premierships when discussing a players trade value is the equivalent of listing an Olympic Gold medal when discussing an NBA player.

An NBA title is far more attributable to individuals due to the number of players on a team. There are soooooo many spud Premiership players in the AFL.

In that case how can Gold Coast just give up early picks like they mean nothing it's disgusting. Geelong got gifted pick 7, Richmond getting pick not 6 for a half back flanker. When are we gonna benefit from all this.........

Results for Pick #4s would be higher if not for Mora's tragic story.

On pick 6, Freo has only ever had one of those (come on down James Walker), so we've done pretty well avoiding the curse. But not as well at avoiding pick 6 as Adelaide, who only took their first #6 pick in 2019. The aforementioned Fisher McAsey was Fishing by 2024. Adelaide then used their second ever pick 6 to take Rachele in 2021 - will the 6 curse continue with him?
