Sorry for the intuition just wondering what and who will get your pick 13 I am hoping north get it for a future 1st which will be probably a top five pick so wondering what els you guys would give back

North give future 1st (5)
Gold Coast give 13 and (??)

Not much, if anything.

When trading for a future pick, you need to assume the other team will have a good year next year, so it'll be worse than a top 5 pick (so let's say 6-10). We're also looking at a strong/deep draft this year, and that a pick in the current year is worth more than one next year.

If we think Lombard might go just before then, then this might be considered as a trade, but I dare say we'll have other options to weight it up against.

Probably a late 2nd Rounder or Future 2nd. Or a swap of 2nd rounder from us and a 3rd from the Kangas

6-8 teams are interested in pick 13 and will be offering overs. What is your overs? The best offer probably wins. I still think pick 13 will probably be part of Noble trade.

I guess, probably nothing back, at best F2/F3.

Rioli wins the BnF in a team with 2 wins and Heeney wins the BnF in a Grand Finalist

Chalk and cheese 😏

GCS didn't exactly have a sterling year either, so does that mean Collins is crapola? Haha.

I'm sure every single B&F winner would get a game in virtually any side in the AFL unless you'd like to make an argument otherwise, given your own club is chasing Rioli?

No it doesn't mean he's crapola nor is Rioli, but I think he's trying to say Heeney is worth more than Rioli in his eyes....and while I'm a fan of what Rioli can do, I agree with him.

I’m not pretending that Collins is as valuable as Heeney, like you were with Rioli

Just realised we own the last pick of the first round.

That pick usually gets some wild deals thrown at it.
Late on night 1 of draft night.

FYI Foxfooty got pick 21 wrong in that they only got a 3rd round compensation pick for Cumming...they already owned pick that pick 21 which is unrelated to Cumming

Hate to be negative, but I hope Rory Atkins finds a new club! This has been an expensive pickup for very little output!! Same with Fiorini.

I know there are some questions around how much we need this kid versus filling other holes in the list, but I feel like Leo is perfectly suited to thrive in Hardwick’s system. Genuine speed, tenacious (almost to a fault), not afraid of contact, runs all day, knows where the goals are. I expect him to be in the side early and often, especially with 2 years in the VFL under his belt.

Really exciting putting him, Rioli and Noble in and giving us an extra gear to get the ball moving (and hopefully gets the ball out of the Big 4’s hands a bit more when going inside 50 so we can hit a few targets).

That would be fun, it’s been forever since we had a non academy pick
Teams are looking to drop down because the top players are so even. Why trade up for a player about the same as Lombard? It will cost us an academy kid next year to do it.

Seems unlikely, I call BS.

With North and Eagles putting picks 2 and 3 on table Twomey interestingly reports today that Suns could be of teams looking to get involved.

Are we trying to get ahead of the Lombard bid? Word is that he's smashing it at the combine and we already know there's a good chance that our pick 7 is going to Richmond for Rioli. GWS did that when they traded up to get Taranto before the bid came through for Setterfield a few picks later. If that's the plan, then presumably we're eyeing off one of the two highly rated mids in Jagga Smith or Finn O'Sullivan.

Smith/O'Sullivan + Lombard + Rioli + Noble + Himmelberg (+ Dusty?) would be a good off season.

I reckon North Eagles wanna move down because there will still be a midfielder there and they wanna grab a tall too.

Second rounds starts at pick 30 now so why not move down
