I'm trusting.....I just worry some mud is gonna stick somehow.

We've gone from Sleepy Hollow to a swirl of allegations about financial improprieties and matters even more serious.

Mud was there anyway. Other club supporters can't fathom how we've stayed up for so long.

GFC is too well managed to get caught...
using brown paper bags shady deals

Most AFL clubs have additional benefits
for their star players not on the books.

OMG! Brown Paper Bags? 💰💰💰
No! No! No!

Can't say I'm comfortable with all the rumour and suspicion lately.

Not sure it won't get worse before it gets better either.
Possibly. But given it's amounted to nothing more than incessant rumours without any profound and clinching allegations having surfaced to this point, I'm not sure that where we are right now is a position of great jeopardy at all.

The rabid and mindless chatterbots will carry on. But I don't see any real signs of anything that is causing me major concern as yet.

Any generational talent available on the open market at pick 1 this year?

We should tank the season to show we're no good, reload with young talent and then show the league how to manage them all on the same list throughout their careers

All while bringing in top end players from other clubs 😎
Wicked idea 🤣🤣🤣

Obviously, all will be given farms, Simmonds homes, Ford Everest Wildtraks or Mustang GT Cabriolets, Cotton On: franchises to WAGs; all are ambassadors; give a few personal clothing lines +++

Anyone else see the midweek tackle? The guy doing the audit of Geelong's books, is the guy who used to manage Geelong's books for the period in question. This is Donald Trump level.

There are going to be some many heartbroken oppo fans 💔

The more I read these rorting threads, the more I believe the area south of the Barwon is actually Catland, where the GFC Mafia control all land deals, sales of businesses and shares, police investigations, and local government offices.
And one day, the Don, in his office at KP decided that one of the family should rise to take over the whole league. From that day, GFC people have spread out to various positions at other clubs and at AFL House.
:winkv1:
This is hilarious 😹 😹 😹

You absolutely say who the Don is 😹

Ling has done well with restaurants/bars

Then there was some crap about Costa or Simmonds using Selwood + GAJ on billboards. Their payments were looked at too

“This deal (allegedly) stood to earn Selwood $10,000. No-one is saying that Joel Selwood did anything wrong, or that the deal even took place, but this raised eyebrows at head office.

“Very sensitive, the AFL were, when I started asking questions about this last week, but there have been confirmations today, both from the club and the AFL, that an audit is going is currently going on. It’s ongoing. And it’s not only concerning those two stories, but other players as well.”

Not sure there's much to this story at all, really. Still, I am genuinely fascinated by the thought that Gollum himself is apparently reporting on it for Fox Footy.
Enlighten a NSW girl, please? Who is FF Gollum?
Obviously I know real Gollum - The Lord of the Rings

Thank you, wanted to be sure

I'm pretty sure that there's no issues with discussion of the audit or things which relate to that

There's another separate issue, unrelated to the audit, which is not really a suitable topic for discussion at this time

Yes, I understand the other topic is not for discussion.

Was just being super cautious about the audit.

I’d be disappointed if we weren’t rotting the cap.

If you aren’t cheating you aren’t trying
Most companies at the bleeding edge put it down to "Regulatory Risk". In this fast-paced world, there are a lot of grey areas where there are no Rules/Laws. You could either wait for the AFL to catch up and legislate or factor in the Regulatory Risk and act in your company's best interests.

BREAKING.. Other Clubs are also doing it..
