How is 2 and mostly likely 2, 3 or 4 for 6 & 11 good for North?? The top end is looking much better in 2025 than in 2024. Ive posted before - I would take Sharp with pick 2 this year.

We just lost TT - Phillips looks a bust, Duursma is a half forward not a mid, we are yet see what McKercher can do as a mid. At 2 you take the best in the draft - if that is a mid - so be it.

Love how posters know what clubs are "desperate" to do. Posters that have never had any experience at an AFL club. How do you know we don't have a clear 2 best players in the draft - like we did with Sheezel and Wardlaw? Just this time we only get 1 of them.

Why - we have so many over the last few years - I would prefer quality over quantity. Once you get out of the top 4 picks the chances of the player being a bust goes through the roof.

I'm with you on keeping 2 - play the odds - history has shown that pick 2 is so much better than anything you get dropping back.

8 wins this year and we are still bottom 4. 8 or 9 wins does not shoot you very far up the ladder. 11 or 12 wins does and we don't look close to winning that many.

I agree if there is little between two players - take the Vic kid. Which its looks like FOS, Lalor and Jagga are at a similar level to Draper.

Apart from JHF we have done well in keeping our interstate recruits. Can't think of another player that has left the Roos to head home interstate. If we have Draper clearly the best at our pick we should take him.

Top 5 is massive stretch. Who will he jump over? Gulden, Warner, Heeney, Grundy & Blakey Neale, Ashcroft, Dunkley, Andrews, McCluggage Cripps, Curnow, McKay, Weitering, Walsh Brayshaw, Serong, Young, Ryan, Clark Bont, Trelour, Dale, JUH, Darcy.

Yeah - Hotten is in a similar boat this year. Was a potential top 5 before the ACL but will be in the teens or early 20's now.

We have George still on our list after 2 knee reco's. Another 2nd rounder from this draft that has not had a very good injury run.

We would know 1st hand the dangers of trading back - missing out on the next Sheezel would not be very smart. We also recruited a 200cm key back in the 1st round last year and Comben showed he can become a very good key back. Not sure we are as desperate for Tauru as posters will try to make out.

Every club is open to split a pick if the right deal is offered. They doesn’t make us desperate - it makes us like every other club. We won’t take Tauru with 2. It will be FOS or Lalor.

No idea where you get desperate from?? Most are happy with Lalor or FOS. End of the day the Tigers could be desperate for the 2 best players in the draft. Risk increases the further from 1 your drop back.

I would take all of them at 1 except Watson and Duursma.

Agree that someone can jump up and be a superstar - but this draft doesn’t have a player labeled as a generational talent like some previous drafts.

IMO its Lalor. Everyone needs a Dusty.

Fos isn't getting past the Blues - or us if we keep 2.
