I
The game in the reserves looked to be a blow out at the end of the third, st Mary's fought the season out well. Predictions for the grand final is therry by 20 points in the seniors, and eltham by 8 points in the magoos. The week rest will unsettle therry
Great effort by yarra valley to make the grand final, therry to beat st Mary's to set up a massive grand final. How about the reserves? What are your predictions. Eltham to beat st Mary's by 3 goals to go into the final against therry.
Both players going for the ball, the south melbourne player stayed upright (injured player) and the eltham player dived for the ball trapping the south melbournes players foot under his body forcing his leg to go the opposite way to his body. nothing malicious just two players going for the ball
Talking about results, the reserves game out at south Melbourne vs the turtles ended at the start of the 3rd when a poor bloke broke his leg. Ambulance took its time coming while the bloke was stuck in the middle of the field
Ciavola with a big round! unstoppable. With a true full forward and goals being kicked by the runners who is going to beat Eltham in the finals.
I can't say id want Eltham going into the finals undefeated.
I am also gobb smacked by parade losing to SMS
St marys have been a surprise to me so far, if Dr. Stephen Danks hasn't had a part in this i would love to know where the talent has come from, new players? new coach? u/19s now in seniors? or just easy games.
has anyone got a comment on games other than eltham vs monash. id like to here...
Ciavola is the destroyer as a full forward now that bullen have gone to D1, bulleens fullback kept him scoreless. I can't compare anyone else to boundy as there is no midfielder I know in the comp that is as good as him, does anyone have any information on other dominant players from their club?
The 5 minute difference each quarter could have made a difference, eltham where up all day in the reserves, the run of play was with smd towards the end.
71 tackles for elthams seniors is nothing to sneeze about, eltham are playing a very physical game. But the turtles don't hit behind the play...
Round 2
Parade to beat Yarra valley in a close game
Ivanhoe vs SMS, tough one. But from round 1 results I'll say SMS by 2 goals
Turtles vs monash. Months tough to beat at home. But turtles will take this game in the last quarter
St. John's to beat st Leo's in a close game
Therry vs smd, Therry...
eltham are looking strong, a bit of a wobbly start down 30 or so points to south melbourne and not looking the part. but the new coach jason previously from monty must have said something at half time that made eltham pull their finger out and have a very strong finish to a high scoring game...
Eltham turtles are the team to beat this year
Ladder:
Eltham
Ivanhoe
Therry
Parade
Monash
Yarra valley
St. John's
St Mary's
Smd
Emmaus
(I can only confirm lethal on top, other teams are just based on what I've heard and past year scores
