    Queensland under 16 State championships

As I predicted, Gold Coast won narrowly from the SE bushrangers. I believe the initial squad will appear on the AFLQ site tomorrow, Thursday. According the spiel at the carnival program, the state coach will pick an unknown number of players that fit his criteria. link here- http://www.aflq.com.au/

    Queensland under 16 State championships

I would think Jesse Haberfield is looking the better of the two at the chamionships. Both his games have been solid. Rolfe started getting a bit of ball after half-time vs Taipans ,but didn't do seem to be his usual dominant self in game vs Kookas. Fowler of Taipans has impressed to date. And...

    Queensland under 16 State championships

Well done by Taipans. With 5 minutes to go the unthinkable looked possible. Taipans were great. Gold Coast just held on. Having said that, I think the final between Gold Coast and Bushrangers Tuesday will be a real nailbiter. Kookaburras defeated Colts by 40+. Sunny Coast beat PNG by 80 odd. and...

Damien Hewitt had a strong game. Highly regarded by the Bushrangers. I would think he is on the cusp of Queensland selection status. Got to be in the mix.

    QLD U/15 State Side

Can't be happening this weekend. Most of the best under 15 QLD players will be involved in the State under 16's carnival starting Thursday. No websites in QLD make mention of the game. Maybe its a school team from QLD. Definitely not the QLD state u/15 team, buddy.

PNG to compete in AFL Queensland Championships

Great to here of this. I was wondering if they will be under 16's or if their would be concessions eg. 6 or so under 17 players as NT under 16's are permitted to do in the Australian nationals. Any links to the latest info for the PNG team ? are they on the AFLPNG website?

Gold Coast Kangaroos does have a good ring to it

Southport sharks sounds better.Gold Coast won't embrace the Kangaroos. 11,000 with the Lions involved is pathetic. Watch the crowds get worse in the next 2 matches. another 3,000 could have fitted in easily. If it was a Southport sharks team people on the coast would be more receptive.
