I agree. I want warner, but there are some very good options next year including rodriguez and swadling. Will be very interesting to see who we target with 12. Lindsey is my most realistic preference, I dont think the others I want will be there.
Ok so this is my out loud thinking/ dream scenario.
Trade Eagles Give 3,23 (could give a f2 or f3 too) -> Tiger give 6,9,17
Trade Eagles give 17 -> Tigers give Baker
Trade Eagles give barass -> hawks give 12, 30
6,9,12,17(baker),30(peatling),59
Peatling pick 30
Baker pick 17
Graham UFA...
I think he should be west coast's main priority this upcoming trade period. Fills a need, need more players in his age bracket, wouldnt cost draft picks. Would be a tough sell to move across the country but I hope we have a crack.
My understanding is that Geelong would draft Curtin if he was available, therefore Dons wouldnt have to stress about Cats pick that why they wanted Curtin to get past crows pick.
He certainly is an interesting one. Not sure if he'll ever be able to make it as a predominant forward but I loved what he offered around the ground last year when on the ball.
But this was what I was getting at, throwing up names which could net some value. I think he is a good suggestion.
I dont consider speed to be the only factor in a player abilities haha. Petch only has speed, he doesnt even have the footy IQ to even use it (A bit harsh but I've seen enough to come to that conclusion).
I like a lot of what Culley brings to the table and it's not like he is average for speed...
A bit of a tangent but there are two players who seem to have a lot of backing of this forum (or more than i'd expect) in Culley and Petrucelle.
I'll admit Petch surprised me with some of his midfield moments this year, but largely I see him as a clogger with potential trade value.
I'm not as...
Id be comfortable splitting with the current proposed names, unless its o'sullivan I think he'd add great polish inside and outside for the midfield we're putting together.
We havent topped up our defensive stocks at all which is interesting. Perhaps we believe current players on our list can fill these roles and/or targeting defenders in the future trade period which has been well documented on this forum already.
Here's to hoping next draft we target a...
I'm really happy with this pick, and I didnt think i would be. He's got dog in him, works hard defensivlely and will balance out reid and hewett's offensive game.
