I had to laugh when Bea apparently 'burned' Margo with the coffee.
Margo screamed and then showed her burn to the officers yet if you watch it again, quite a deal of the coffee ended up on Bea's hand yet be didn't even flinch.
I do wonder if such an obvious goof would get through in a...
Totally insignificant point but does anyone else notice how often they get the names of the two receptionists wrong?
One is called Julie, the other Wendy.
In last nights episode Fletch called her Julie, yet it was actually Wendy (and was credited as such at the end), and i've actually seen...
Nah, but she did suffer a heart attack (or a stroke?) which saw her in hospital for some time.
That was right before she and her granddaughter disappeared from our screens (only to return briefly when Bea escaped the first time).
I didn't expect to see her again.
I can't remember, but even if she was you'd think someone would have commented on her suddenly turning up again.
Just seems like lazy writing to me.
To be honest i thought she was relatively genuine.
Obviously she wanted the chance to become deputy governor but i truly believe she wished Jim well.
Wait, so they transported a double murderer (who has escaped custody numerous times) in a combi?
Lizzie could escape in that situation.
Really? Given how unique he looks and how memorable a character Geoff Butler was, i didn't think they'd be able to use him again.
Speaking of actors with...
When Judy said she'd go on a hunger strike until Erica and Bea returned, i laughed heartily.
I shouldn't have because sure enough, Davidson's back (and somehow in a position of power with the department) and i'm sure their little scheme, whatever it is, will find a way to succeed (as they all...
Where has Margo disappeared to?
I'm sure she'll be back but it's weird that after such a big storyline she has seemingly disappeared with no real explanation and no exploration of her story and mindset since returning to Wentworth.
Great episode tonight.
They really built the story well and the conclusion that saw Bea transferred in the middle of the night was superb.
Sheila Florance' acting was also outstanding.
What happened to the 'one visit a week' regulation?
I know they relaxed rules a tad with the conjugal visits but by my count Bea had four visits within a matter of days (including two in the same afternoon).
The officers have even started arranging visits for the prisoners by phone.
And to...
Re: Rebel Sport Sale
Good stuff.
We dropped into our local store just before and jagged a couple of new guernseys (i still can't come at that green oval on the back of the premiership guernsey, though), as well as the horizontal striped polo i've long wanted.
Thanks for the heads up.
Re: Travis Varcoe Sponsorship 2012 Pledges Open
More than happy to put in again.
Put me down for my usual $50.
What for us folk who don't use Paypal? I forget how we paid in previous years.
I had a look around for a circa-1979 Kerry Armstrong, but alas, no luck.
To be honest i would have settled for the 2011 vintage, actually. ;)
I don't think my better half would have taken too kindly to being asked to vacate the front seat, though. :D
I was in the area this morning so made a small detour to have a look, and sure enough, the 'gatehouse' is basically identical to how it was during filming whilst the iconic long, exterior shot of the prison is still very much there and visible from the road.
Quite surreal to see, in the flesh...
So, with Lizzie's little escapade that makes it two escapes in a matter of months, all after the 'department' launched an investigation into Mrs. Davidson's leadership and the security of the prison.
If she was close to be replaced two escapes ago, how on earth is she getting through without...
I don't know if you've still got it on your IQ box, Jubs, but if you go back and look Wayne had the bolt cutters in his hands and was about to start cutting when Margo, in a panic, told them not to worry and to just bring the guy with them to save time.
Bazza then asked for help grabbing the...
The 'fight' scene during the Margo/Wayne robbery was hilarious.
The woman from the 'factory' started laying into Wayne's friend, basically dominating him with kicks, knees, and punches however each and every one of them was so very obviously pulled well before making any impact whatsoever.
It...
Re: 2011 National Draft selection No. 66 - Lincoln McCarthy
Why? Because they were rated in random phantom drafts?
Every year we take a player for left field, and invariably it works out, yet every year we have people who say 'we should have taken player x because some random guy had him...
Re: 2011 National Draft selection No. 34 - Shane Kersten
For a number of years there's been a trend to downgrade potential draftees seen as 'ready made'.
I assume it arose on the back of a few physically advanced draftees struggling to make the leap and the never ending search for 'potential'...
Re: 2011 National Draft selection No. 66 - Lincoln McCarthy
It's not? It's tagged as him, he's got the right jumper on and from the other photos in the set, he matches the profile in terms of height and weight.
Re: 2011 National Draft selection No. 34 - Shane Kersten
Watching him he actually reminds me of a combination of Todd Grima and Brendan Fevola.
Hopefully he's got Fevola's ability and Grima's sensibility.
Thanks, Bruce.
Your enthusiasm for all things Prisoner really is outstanding.
I hope you're still around the thread when we first timers (well, i'd seen episodes 30 to about 150 in the 90's on Channel 10) eventually get to the end of the run on 111 Hits because your insights are invaluable.
Re: 2012 Geelong memberships
Absolutely.
If it results in even one more member it'll be a good thing, i just have this admittedly weird thing about the idea of people who haven't contributed, yet still flash around a membership card.
Re: 2012 Geelong memberships
One of our two membership renewals arrived today (weird that only one did, but anyway) and for the first time it included the membership card.
Not sure i like the idea of membership cards going out before one has actually paid (even though they've obviously not...
What happened to Lizzie's friend, Sid?
Last i saw she visited him in hospital after his stroke but since then i've not even heard Lizzie mention him.
Has there been a resolution to the story that i missed or is Sid just another of the suddenly forgotten characters?
To complete the story, i emailed the manufacturers of the Victory Pack late Wednesday and by lunchtime today i had a replacement copy on my desk.
Much to my surprise, their customer service was incredible.
Well done, Sports Delivered.
Re: Never seen before Grand Final footage?
Thanks, mate.
Seems like a round about way of selling a promotional disc, but perhaps they didn't anticipate a need for those outside the Geelong area.
Has anyone else had a problem with the disc of the preliminary final?
Mine starts pixellating, skipping and freezing momentarily early in the second quarter and by the mid point of the quarter, the disc seized up entirely.
There aren't any scratches or obvious anomalies on the disc surface...
