I really hope we can land Sam Davidson either with a late pick or in the rookie draft if he misses out again. He seems like a guy who is ready to step up at AFL level and can fill a need straight away. His ceiling being that D'Ambrosio / Mannagh level of impact that we often sit back and go damn...

Looks like he did one 12th - 13th Nov last year so might get one over the next few days to have a really good idea if any of those mid 20s projected players might be pushing into the teens and help a Berry or Reid drop to ours.

I thought he did one about a week out, then tightened it up a few days prior but yeah will have to see.

When does Cal Twomey release his next Phantom Draft? You will be able to get a very good idea of the top 15-20 from that, he usually goes at around 70-80% for that range from the last few years.

They do describe similarly but I feel they are pretty different. Vanders more the speedster opening up space down field and chasing runners, Emmett more the type to crunch players or lay some hard tackles and smothers helping to lock the ball in. Not sure he kicks enough goals or gets enough of...

Tom Emmett de-listed from Fremantle also, a strong, hard tackling pressure fwd. Does a lot of the 1%ers and a decent short burst runner. Doesn't get much of the footy nor kick too many goals which is his main issue, but more a pure pressure fwd.

Imagine the melts on draft day if we take a ruck with our first pick after re-signing English :sweatsmile:

Yeah Paton is a guy who could definitely fill a need on our list as that lockdown small defender. Duryea is already defying the odds playing this long on one year deals and would love to have a young guy be able to come in and take that roll or as cover for injury. He's had pretty good wins...

It's still stuck with me that Darcy thinks his final position when he's in his prime will be as a ruck. Obviously no need to switch him there now, but if Tim went down I think between Lobb, Darcy and then maybe a sprinkling of Smith if absolutely desperate, we should be ok. I would rather roll...

Sam Davidson from Richmond's VFL seems like the most likely to be the next Mannagh type who could get on an AFL list an make an impact straight away. He was mid season draft eligible but was overlooked hey, what were the big knocks on him? Attributes sound great, elite endurance, hard runner...

Agree but I think we have plenty of those. Would rather give a DFA or VFL guy a spot and let Buss, JOD, Khamis, Gardner (in that order for me) get the AFL games.

Richmond will need to consolidate some of their high picks (likely will trade out for some futures), but I wonder if something like 17 for 23 + 24 would make sense. Gives them another higher pick and 17 + 18 back to back and would allow us to have 23,24 and 25 to strike from. We could then trade...
