Landscape maintenance supervisor...I do enjoy it for the most part. Not sure what I'd do if I get sick of it because i don't think anyone is looking for a 43 year old drillers offsider (last job I had before going into landscaping fifteen years ago)
I went for a ride yesterday around the local lake nice and early but by the time i got back to my starting point at 7.30am it was already 29...suffice to say my pool has been getting quite the work out.
A bit more reasonable looking this week!
Been getting in a few new releases...only few songs into Vitriol 'Suffer and Become' but this is ****ing fantastic. New Exocrine as well but the production is rubbish and ruins it. Actually stopped after the first song. No such problems with Cognizance though...another ripper from them...
As much as I love summer, I don't miss that relentless heat of the Pilbara at all. Its been pretty brutal this summer up there. Just checked and its a rather chilly 35 at Marble Bar currently.
Was hoping my boy would get into death metal for that sort of thing but alas...
Just to break up the well deserved Obituary love fest (hanging out for next Friday)for a few minutes, some brand new Aborted to murder your ears. Really hanging out for these dudes to come back (gig with TBDM a few...
Hadn't bought any books for some time since I grabbed SPQR by Mary Beard so on a whim picked up the first book in the Silo series (loved the TV series) and been a big fan of the Metro game series, Metro 2033 by Dmitry Glukhovsky. Will try and fit these in whilst slowly working my way through...
Planted my mango tree about four years ago when I moved into my new house. Always wanted one having grown up in Port Hedland with a tree in the yard that produced so much we sent boxes of it to relatives in Perth. Finally got a crop (ok, only four lmao) after previous years the fruit would drop...
They were in fine form, even better than when they swung past in 2020. Wouldn't mind seeing Revocation again...
Heard bits and pieces of Fallujah over the years before catching them in Perth but they were super excellent. Their new singer suits them perfectly.
Nice of them to release it on my birthday too lmao.
Wondering whose tour is getting announced tomorrow by Soundworks? Apparently Perth is getting a look in this time :laughing:
Just cant imagine 219 khr winds...went through the odd cyclone living in Port Hedland but never sat through such conditions.
Meanwhile the manufacturer of this fridge at the Pardoo Roadhouse can add a claim when selling them that they can survive a Cat 5 cyclone...
Not surprised that Incantation gave Perth a wide berth after last time (I did hope against hope but anyway...)
Did see somewhere that Archspire are touring Japan later this year so hopefully they make their way down under afterwards...
Will be at Quobba with a group of people, some of them will then make the trek to Exmouth. Missus and myself will be staying put.
I've been there in April before and it was relatively busy but can't imagine putting up with 50,000 people there.
