Probably shouldn't use pop culture as a reference, but here we go: Dexter. If his adoptive father hadn't taught him how to use his skills, he would've been the villain, not the anti-hero...

More in line with your point, there was a neuroscientist who found some brain scans that showed a psychopath's brain. Then he saw it was his name on the slides...He found it explained a lot of his behaviour, but as he'd been raised well his psychopathy was poured into competitive instincts (which was across the range of getting a doctorate in a difficult subject, to being a bit of a dick when playing table tennis with his kids). Can't remember his name though.

Psychopaths are about 1% of the population. The vast majority are not serious criminals, they're either high achievers (CEOs and surgeons are professions with well over 1% representation), quiet workers without much of a social life, or just kinda s**t blokes.

I find the subject fascinating. I had a GF once with Borderline Personality Disorder, which is very different, but also part of Cluster B (together with Narcissistic Personality Disorder and Antisocial Personality Disorder). There's a lot of overlap though, and I found that she showed more Narcissism than ASPD, but there was a moment when she went very cold and I saw an expression of potential ASPD (more sociopathy than psychopathy, due to the heavy influence of emotions in BPD). Basically the mask slipped, and there was something very different beneath it.

Edit: This is the neuroscientist.

OK now I want a Dr Todd Grande-type breakdown from you of every serial killer featured in Church of Misery songs, with the song playing quietly in the background.

I enjoy Ed Sutton's videos, though they are increasingly being pay-walled. He often talks about traits being inheritable, and relatively recently talked about research where it was claimed that the Romans medieval Europe actually reduced the number of psychopaths (or similar) in society because they were executed, and typically at an age prior to fathering children.

He has made videos about rimming and other click-baity topics but it's strictlly scientific. :)

I thought it was known Iceman was a pathological liar? Can't remember. I did watch a doco on him quite a while ago, and reading up on him it was established his claims of a 100+ bodycount were embellished/fabricated.

Anyway, new Mortuary Drape on. Not so bad. Not as good as AtWD, SS, or BiT, though.

Of the 100+ he’s claimed, only ever convicted of 5.

Always and forever, thanks to Tankard :)
Fair do's! You must've been elated winning the Europa League.... Conversely for me, was gutting. But that's football. Can't think of that final without thinking of Kent's chance right at the end of injury time. Would've ended up being one of the best nights of my life had that went in, haha.
