Dean Wallington coached Morningside Ressies last few years. Won a flag in 2017. Will be good for us moving forward as seems very structured unlike our previous coaches.
Muddy hasn't been much talk from Yeronga in regards player retention and gains. I would think for them to get in hunt for Div 2 they would need to improve on last years list one would think.
Would be a tragedy if they weren't competitive in Div 2.
Have Sandgate obtained some additional coaching staff? Just wondering what constitutes an A Grade Coaching Staff Northside?
Or is that just your opinion?
Heard Maroochydore picked up a few others from Ovens and Murray League as well. New draw is out now.
Think everyone keeping their recruitment cards close to their chest.
Righto boys let's get back to talking footy and some common sense.
Think Div 2 will be another close competition this year. From what I am hearing Kenmore will definitely be team to beat also along with Buffs and Cooly if they can add a few will be in contention. Plus Bond who were one of best...
Think you a bit off the mark Thunder, firstly all our recruits are saddling up again in 2019 so not sure how that didn't work? Secondly Jarred Brennan played for zero to play with his brother. Not once did he even ask for a cent.
And our finances are more solid than most clubs due the fantastic...
Cheers SMY same to your mob in the quest for 3 in a row. Look forward to watching how good the Roos are up close this year. I'm sure we will find out soon enough just how good they are.
Long as our boys enjoy their year and we can gain some respect as a club, then the journey will be worth it.
Cheers Noosaboy, can't wait to get up to Noosa for one of those famous lunches. Appreciate the support mate and as a club we truly admire the job that the coast clubs have done along with all the Div 1 Clubs.
We totally understand the huge mountain that awaits and all we can do is put our best...
Morro, that comment was based on players committed to playing Div 1 at the time we wouldn't have enough to field two sides. After a meeting with players last night it was unanimous that we push forward into Div 1 to keep our development pathway for our kids plus we would have to many players for...
Not sure if standing your ground on principles is a demise Morro?
Unfortunately for us Our options are go to Div 1 and set our club back 5+ years
Or go to Friday night footy and be set back 3 years.
Looking at what has happened to Yeronga this season and the impact it had on not only the...
Not sure where it stops and starts mate. As Thommo stated previously they bent rules last year in Div 4 & Div 5 last year when the same rules were in place.
To me it's about common sense. We did Point out to them that we weren't ready as a club before a ball was bounced this year. So we were...
Our precinct Rosia road will cater for us and 8 wheeled sports. Funding for design was approved early in year and in May we get final design brief.
We well on track for 2020 I assure you, but the AFL part could easily be removed. We have over 100K houses being built in Park Ridge region in next...
Fan you make to much sense mate. Whilst we are sending our three best kids from our seniors to QAFL ranks as that is the right thing to do by them and their development.
It is definitely at the detriment of our seniors and it doesn't help with retirements and players moving on either. I totally...
SMY whilst it's very easy sitting in a club that has been established to make these statements. If the league were fair dinkum about promotion/relegation then Div 1 winner should be going up and Sandgate coming down. That's the way it works in Melbourne. You don't stop at a second tier.
We...
Mate we are working with Moorooka to build relationships with and hope to do same with Thommo at Sherwood. We actually posted for players who wanted to have a run that Saturday mornings was an option.
Happy to help Tommy out with some extra numbers for better drills and to help their standard...
You are probably spot on but not sure about poaching statement. Blake Passfield hadn't played for two years so not sure how he was poached. Tommy Overington, Aden Rutledge weren't playing in 2018 until we contacted them. Kurt Adams, Josh Warden both didn't play year before joining us. Bomber...
I think it happens to everyone and its path of the course unfortunately . We have lost a lot of players to clubs over last 3 years but have grabbed a few good ones as well along the way.
The problem is we are only 5 years old as a club so we really haven't established a solid playing list or a...
Doubt we could get near figures being offered. Think I know what we do and I can assure you that these figures for Div 3 would be some of best players at State League Level.
SMY didn't all the NEAFL Clubs just resign 5 year license agreements in 2018? That being the case unless AFLQ have a change of heart won't see any clubs back into QAFL until 2023?
Think the promotion/relegation works well in Melbourne in most competitions. But will never work here when it stops...
