Welcome Welcome to Adelaide: James Peatling - Traded with F3, F4 for F2

Similarly, saw him live at the Gabba when the Giants came from behind to beat the Lions in R22 (oh how things change) 9 clearances from 20 touches - really got the game back in their favour Q2 and Q3.

Wouldn't be betting on that too hard. The endless retooling on the fly has been impressive (if not annoying lol) but if the mail is right, Hopper coming in with possibly Bruhn on top and the machine rolls on. Hate to say it but I think they'll stay competitive for as long as Cameron stays in his...

Preview Changes: R20 vs Carlton, Saturday July 30, 7.00pm ACST @ Adelaide Oval

Giving Worrell a month in the seniors to close the year out would be perfect for the kid. A showdown and some softer games against NM and WC to get his feet wet.

This has nothing to do with your little run-in with Judge on the other thread does it SM? Haha I tend to agree tho, getting into Grange on a day like GF day with people coming and going for the colts/2s is a nightmare. Yeronga would be the best bet but Sandgate has been a good host for previous...

Player Watch Brett Turner - Delisted

Particularly when Carmichael is now offering value to a top 4 side. Came in yesterday and had an immediate impact in front of goal. Younger, 190cm mid/forward who has shown to be dangerous inside 50, which is obviously of no interest to us.

May very well be the Keays of this year. High pedigree that needed to iron a few things out in his game whilst stuck behind a laundry list of quality mids, young and old. I'm all for us having a look at him, always bet on the traits and more so now that he's using them productively, albeit at...

Review Crows vs NM: The Good, the bad and ... the stultifyingly DULL.

Guess athletic is a little too broad. I mean more in that dynamic space, similar to how Ned never projected to be overly explosive/powerful but we hoped he'd have enough tricks to get by. Ned has that endurance base also but his cleanliness and lack of weapons lets him down tremendously at times.

Review Crows vs NM: The Good, the bad and ... the stultifyingly DULL.

Soligo is everything I hoped McHenry to be. Not an outstanding athlete, not overly big but such a clean and balanced footballer. Doesn't mind the tough stuff in the air or on the ground, super honest. Going to be a fantastic player for us going forward.

Player Watch Lachlan Gollant - Contract Extension to 2024

I've got McAdam a bit ahead atm but with the way Gollant has improved both his physique and appetite to compete in the air, the gap is definitely closing. McAdam is now at his peak (27yo with multiple AFL preseasons now) and is good for 2-3 goals on his good days, but plays with that flair that...

Player Watch Darcy Fogarty - Re-Signed to End of 2031

I'd say they know McStay is going to command more than they are willing to offer. (Collingwood, Essendon) 23yo in Sept and they know at the price, he might be a decent contrasting 3rd tall for Daniher/Hipwood. Maybe just victim of being a key forward in pretty average sides. Either way, it's...

Matt Suckling to Coorparoo. Big addition to the ladder leaders. Will be a bit of a juggle with their points but a good problem to have I'd say.

Preview Changes: R4 vs Essendon - Sunday April 10, 12.40pm ACST @ Marvel Stadium

With Chayce, I think the heat comes on him when Milera gets himself fit and firing as there really isn't that much between McPherson, Hamill or Jones. McAsey is probably more gunning for the Butts role than anything and Butts is just flat out better. Not that that will always be the case but...

Preview Changes: R3 vs Port Adelaide

Still genuinely perplexed by the Murphy selection. All of Murphy's shortcomings are exacerbated by us missing Tex (or any semblance of a quality CHF) and at this point, has to be considered a list clogger with the investment of recent draft capital in Rachele, McHenry and Rowe. Pedlar's burst...

Preview Changes: R3 vs Port Adelaide

Think bringing McAsey in to play on Marshall could be a move they look at. About the least physically imposing forward you could hope to play on, at a similar juncture in his career, might be a soft kill that could re-energise big Fish. Hope we see him in the senior side at some stage this year...

Review Rachele, Bad & Ugly v Fremantle (Round 1)

Totally agree. McPherson is too dour to play with Brown and our ball movement definitely changed when Andy went down. Sholl in, Dawson/Smith to HB while we get Milera up to speed and hope and pray that Chayce gets his shit together as he has the physical profile to be a good mix def/off.

Am I wrong in seeing more Paul Medhurst than Toby Greene with Rachele? I mean that in a very good way... ill take multiple 40+ goal seasons

Think you'll find Richmond will trade to 4 with Hobbs in mind. In the same way, will be their Cotchin replacement and they are reportedly very much into him.

List Mgmt. 2021 Draft picks: 4/33/75

More and more I watch of Hobbs I like. See plenty of Jacob Hopper, Selwood and a bit of Taylor Adams in him. Very tenacious. These surefire 200 game combative contested/clearance beasts are a feature in every premiership contender and I think with Sloane coming to the end it's a great choice...

Would have loved to have been the club involved in that Will Brodie salary dump. Not that I think that Will is much of a player, but another in the Keays mould where a new situation might help. Only contracted for 2022 so if he is no good, you take pick 19 (potentially pair with filler for...

There is a distinct difference in gap-filler though and we found that out in the same rookie intake. Keays went pick #24 in 2015- was 2x U18 AA + had exposed form at NEAFL level, playing out of position who was just desperately in need of midfield minutes. Was 22 at the time with mountains of...

List Mgmt. 2021 Draft picks: 4/33/75

Totally agree. Year before we picked him up, he kicked 43.19 in the NEAFL from 16 games, leading the Lions and finishing 3rd in the comp goal kicking. For a guy who isn't a noted aerialist, that is some effort and showed he was clearly above the level. Next step for us is to find elite mids to...

List Mgmt. 2021 Draft picks: 4/33/75

We love to focus on the things Keays doesn't do but he compares quite favourably to Lyons in some facets of the game. 24yo in his 1st season as an out and out mid. (No tagging etc) I'll give you that he lacks polish however he's 5 years younger than Lyons so time is still on his side. 5.7 score...

No doubt would be top of my list. 25 going into next season with 100 games and finals appearances under the belt. Any chance of us getting Stephens on the cheap as a means to not offer Dawson big $$$ x years? Hopper and Stephens would be a hell of a haul for mine if we could manufacture the...

Preview Changes Rnd 23 vs North Melbourne

Yes agreed. Figured if Smith puts his hand up, he's a walk up start and not necessarily anything Davis did wrong. Was him or McPherson who I also think has been going okay and they'd be more in favour of.

Preview Changes Rnd 23 vs North Melbourne

Seemingly the right move in my mind, could free up Doedee a little to roam more. Could be a catalyst for his biggest pre-season and regular best 22 football next year. I'd bring in McAsey from the cold for this very reason also. In: Gollant Worrell McAsey Smith Out: Kelly Himmelburg Murphy Davis
