Pretty clear he has low footy IQ. He cost us that goal to Giorgiades by coming off him and leaving him inside f50 all by himself. He was never, ever going to impact the kicker who was 30m away and O Hollands was applying pressure from behind.

Unfortunately Kemp has low footy IQ. He came off Giorgiades there for no reason, Hollands had the man up the field covered. So Kemp was in no man's land, forcing Cowan to dive across.

Yep. We can cover Harry but only if our other marking forwards weren't injured. Add Harry to TDK, JSOS and Martin and we are Curnow or bust up forward.

Does he? My memory of Young forward is him not knowing where to run and position himself. He got in the way of our other forwards. I'm also not confident in his goal kicking, which will likely be poor as he doesn't normally play forward.

When your 3 first choice players to play firward/ruck are out its pretty rough. TDK, Mckay and JSOS. Could add Martin who provides a marking target. Then there's Doc, Williams and Boyd.

Agree but they aren't exactly humming either. Marshall and Finlayson injured helps us given our issues with tall 2nd forwards. Rozee is playing but was subbed off last week with an injury. JHF had a poor game. They've had back to back 6 day breaks and their away trip before this was to Gold...

Yeah our chances would be a lot higher at the G. They are a bit soft are Port, they like the comfy confines of Marvel but get exposed in tougher, scrapper games like at the MCG and even big games at Adelaide Oval.

Boyd got injured early in the Dogs game and played hurt. Out injured since.

If we are already cutting all those guys then serious questions need to be asked of the scouting and recruiting team.

We desperately need another back up tall forward and key defender. Not in love with any of those names but understand we may need to look for a moneyball approach. Collingwood won a premiership after bringing in Frampton. He's a very average player, but just a big body who can fill a few...

It's a taxing game style to play though, requiring more run and more cohesion. Not surprised we're not producing that style like we were with all the banged up players we have right now. We looked fit and strong in our 5 game winning streak and we were basically injury free in that period...

Neither but now I will really hold my breath during games praying none of Pitto, Mckay or Charlie get injured. With JSOS already out, we don't really have anyone of note to bring in either as a ruck or key forward. We really need more options on the list.

I'd give Durdin another go vs Port if he's fit. He seemed to hurt himself in the first quarter so was hampered...was mentioned in the presser and Voss gave him some praise. Thought he grew into the game in the 2nd half, no doubt helped by our mids pulling the finger out and actually winning...

The kick was fine under pressure, structurally we should have 2 players down the line for that exact kick so the ball doesn't come straight back in like it is.
