AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Neither but now I will really hold my breath during games praying none of Pitto, Mckay or Charlie get injured.I'm not stressed about TDK injury in terms of our capacity in upcoming games. We have Pitto, and he will do well. Just want TDK to be right for his sake, as well as finals. What a warrior and champion...
Young, Durdin probably could be used as rucks (doubt we'd even bother with Mirkov)A.Dont think we can win finals without TDK.
B.What about if Pitto gets injured?
Mirkov/Hudson/Lemmey is who we have left.

Certainly didn't look like a hard hit but if it was the elbow it can break a rib pretty easily. The other possibility is that there was already a broken rib but that bump caused the puncture to the lung.Pointed elbow from ruckman who has weight listed as 105kg in various places. Might not look like much, but did some damage.
You're forgetting Dom Akeui. Or maybe not.Young, Durdin probably could be used as rucks (doubt we'd even bother with Mirkov)

I think you're probably right that there may have been something else prior, but did Xerri 'intend' to hit him in the 'body' with at least a subsequent result of 'medium' if not 'high impact' from that hit...Nothing in that hit at all. That would happen in every game. This is not where TDK got injured.
No, Akeui and Markov will never get a senior game. Let them finish off in the VFL and be thanked for their services. You're forgetting Dom Akeui. Or maybe not.
'Punctured Lungs' don't just come from broken ribs...There was nothing in that, how the fk do you get a punctured lung without any broken ribs?

Harsh but accurate. No, Akeui and Markov will never get a senior game. Let them finish off in the VFL and be thanked for their services.
Surely this has to be looked at - particularly if it's off the ball - intentional, high-impact, to the body as innocuous as it looks. Some of the thuggery yesterday wasn't "tough footy", it was filthy sniping tactics. It happened when Xerri went straight into his ribs with his shoulder. Just after Tom had kicked it into our forward line.
It's a bad angle. You can't see what Xerri did with his left elbow.Nothing in that hit at all. That would happen in every game. This is not where TDK got injured.
Hiya. You xerrie's lawyer?Looks more like the reaction after you've received a heavier knock earlier. Doubt that's what has caused his lung issue.
Exactly! It happened when Xerri went straight into his ribs with his shoulder. Just after Tom had kicked it into our forward line.
Because the contact looks rather innocuous, yet some are wanting Xerri rubbed out..Exactly!
What's with the 'no malice' comments? He had no reason to bump at all.
What's said in this thread or any other thread for that matter is totally irrelevant to our injury issues.
Carnage ahead. We will find out a lot about our club through the remainder of this season.
Personally, I reckon it would not be unreasonable to assume nothing will happen from an MRO perspective. At the same time, I reckon AFL should be doing something about all this off the ball stuff. I know it's part of 'game play', but is it really necessary?Because the contact looks rather innocuous, yet some are wanting Xerri rubbed out..
