To be honest didn't see many. The head reaction may be instructed to correct this? During kick to kick pretty sure they were a good 35-40m away & he was keeping them 4-5m off the deck across the distance. Albeit no pressure.
On Keays, great flat kick, saw him close up & has a "sneeze" like reaction as he kicks. Head shoots down as he kicks through it. Great runner, wouldn't be surprised if he sees some senior footy next year.
Mathieson worked pretty well in the drills after coming DFL in the time trial. Playing...
Got down for a look today, first time in a couple of years. Got there 15 mins late so didn't realise there were 2 groups. Had 6 year old in toe so caught what i could. Bell came in at 10.01. Bastinac about 10.14ish, then Keays not far behind. Big gaps opened on final lap, Bell & Bastinac were...
So we have 32 players plus the 4 recruits. Brown & probably Ash on the Veterans list (outside senior list taking 2 rookie spots) Leaves 6 spots. Can we not have 2 veterans outside the senior list taking up our extra rookie spots anymore? Have I missed something?
Just want to clear something up here, Springfield is about 30 mins out of Ipswich. Which is a similar drive time from The Gabba to Springfield (*so google has me beleive). It is a huge growth & development area out there. The comparisons with Ipswich are a bit of a stretch as it is a new area...
Getting closer to the season now & the injuries are looking reasonable considering the last 3-5 years. Also taking into account the fact that we have some good signs coming through from a dozen or so younsters, I'm thinking anywhere from 9th-13th.
Still think we lack the hardened bodies to go...
Re: The 2012 Brisbane Lions Pre-Season Thread
I heard he was at Noosa for the training camp from someone involved with the club. Pretty sure because they were there with him. He mentioned he's very full on and pushes the boys hard.
Re: Clark trade discussion (no more PSD threats please)
How would much else be a problem? Pick 9, 5 years of development. Will hit his prime over the next 2-3 years. Seems to be a "between the ears" player. If he is happy home in Perth you'll get the AA Clark we know he is capable of...
Heard from a senior umpiring figure that they were also not happy with the umpiring. One of the offenders will stay on for the Collingwood/Suns game at Carrara, apparently. The hard calls are made in Melbourne though. All I know is the powers that be in Queensland were not impressed.
Also a...
Re: Tom Rockliff
Especially after Rich's comments...we gave this bloke a chance and he is showing ownership of the club. A footballers' footballer. Have high hopes for this bloke. Great character!
Is Todd going to win the award for the rangarest of rangas we've ever had? I mean there is Vossy ranga, and Lambert ranga, but Todd is like the ultimate fluro ranga! The only one I think could give him a go is Brad Hardie. He was a fluro ranga too!
Re: Luke Power
I'd agree with this Chopper. The fact that he went interstate for a few weeks to have extensive treatment done, seems to always lead to a diagnosis of OP. If there was no surgery, it would mean it is not severe enough which is a good thing.
For all the reasons quoted above, and...
Re: Brendan Fevola
Getting more and more excited everyday about the Fev and Browny lining up in round 1. Especially after seeing his 3 goals in 10 mins in the intraclub. I know it was an intraclub, but his goal sense and instincts are awesome. Teams will have to play 8 man backlines against us...

Just to elaborate, OP is swelling of the hip/pelvic joints, and lack of activity for a couple of years! (Yeah I laugh at myself) My guess is because of the hard grounds the drought had brought us has softened, so OP has diminished.
OP is a prick of an injury. Coming off personal experience, it is a shit of a problem. Basically, to run feels like you have 2 knitting needles jammed either side of your chotus (which would be the upper most of your inside thighs, between you poopy hole and left over elbow skin). Seriously, the...
