Ed Davis was an expensive trade. I get that spellman didn’t even want to be here but throwing in a second as well seems lopsided

    Best Defender

There’s so many types though the best stopper may not be highly rated next to the best intercept player, and what about the best rebounder or best loose man?

Not the worst contract and it’s probably the minimum amount required to keep him rather than watch him walk. He played like a stud prior to the lockdown and is worth the money if he plays the same next season

KAT, DLO and ant makes me happy. I also firmly believe Culver will explode this season and win a most improved player award similar to giannis

News AFL to trial new zone rule in second-tier competition next season (Full rule changes inside)

Zones? Really? I can’t wait to see a player chasing a midfielder out of his forward 50 and have to stop running once he reaches the end of his zone and see the opposing midfielder slow to a jog to conserve energy and fire off an uncontested kick inside 50 to a leading forward of choice

Analysis Drafting Key Forwards. Why have less been taken recently?

I think KPF are going the way of the ruckman. Unless you are an athletic freak like Nic nat was in his draft year then taking a gun midfielder seems to be the “safe” option. Especially in the era of impatience where unless an 18/19 year old kid is given regular playing time and a fat contract...

List Mgmt. Contracts. Trades. Draft. Other Assorted Crap. 2020 Edition

Sorry to intrude but west coast did have a bit of foresight as they were tracking his progress and had apparently considered relisting him. From what I got told he wasn’t able to meet certain KPI last year. I was also told at the time that west coast had eyes on several Claremont league players...

Club Focus West Coast 2020 - Langdon, Withered, Edwards, Winder, Trew

West coasts only ‘weakness’ is a perceived lack of quality depth in the midfield. Unless a WA boy in the right age bracket with a POD requests a trade then I can only see them drafting a couple local kids and perhaps a mature age gem from the wafl

Strategy 2020 Hypothetical Trades – Left Field Trade Ideas

It works in basketball as a 5 man court makes it easier for a star to influence the game. Aussie rules is just too big. unless you went and bought a starting midfield, ruck, key forwards and key backs. which no team in the league has the resources to trade for this many stars

I would love KG to buy the team but not if he displaced Rosas. He has done extremely well given the hand he was dealt. Offloaded 3 bad contracts without losing too many future assets that I thought would be required to move the contracts. if KG came in as owner and worked in tandem with Rosas...
