I remember a little while after we separated I checked on some guy my ex was going to date. Turns out he was abusive and even stole cars from a couple of women. I didn't particularly want to admit to her that I was nosing about but fortunately she had the right instincts and never saw the guy.
Nah, not really. You might miss a few little things but they are kind of stand-alone films like Bond. Except the one this year. Final Reckoning is part 2. Maybe skip to Rogue Nation and then you only have 3 movies to catch up.
Honestly, if that happened months ok it would have really stressed me out and I would have had anxiety for a bit. It was nice that it didn't really phase me at all. I figured she'd do something like that. And the longer I go without meeting the guy the weirder it would be. Happy that's done.
Had to catch up with my ex to go over a couple of things yesterday. Ended up meeting her guy for the first time and they made a show of it! Turned up with my kids in his BMW convertible with the roof down. No reason for them to be there. And it was 8 degrees out. Lol.
Went to one in summer with kids. Was fun. Turned the back of the SUV into a bed and had a bunch of snacks. Was the new Minions movie followed by Twisters. Funnily enough, we barely got though the first scene of Twisters when a big windstorm swept through and knocked out the generator. They...
American Werewolf in London. I'd never seen this John Landis classic and it was a good watch on a rainy night in. Creepy enough with a little humor spread throughout. Only a little over 1.5 hours. The practical effects on the transformation were pretty amazing. Can see why it won an Academy...
Was going to say the same! Even diehard Canadian lefties jumped ship a long time ago. The Conservative Party only recently became relevant here in British Columbia but I still don't know anybody singing Trudeau's praises.
I watched two movies yesterday.
The Devil's Bath. Wow. One of the darker movies I've ever seen. To put it mildly, a woman has some trouble adapting to day-to-day life in 1700s Austria. Was just grim with a few scenes that were very difficult to watch. The acting, directing, and overall...
She needs me to cover a few days when she goes to Vegas in February. She’ll give me some compliment a few days before and then remind me. A few weeks of peace will be nice!
Oh, I'm good. Alright. I'll rant about it. Haha.
We have a Monday to Monday schedule. She's off with her boyfriend a few hours away. Doesn't want to leave early to pick them up so assumed I'd be good having them until 12pm or so. I'm going to work and told her I'll drop them at her place...
I watched an English sitcom over the past couple of days too. Sick of it with Karl Pilkington. Good little show. Been a bit down this week and his musings on daily life cheered me up.
Sideways is good.
Speaking of Giamatti, I'll recommend The Holdovers. Seems to fit the bill. Is a feelgood movie, he's grumpy in it and it's set at Christmas.
My old car had a CD player but now I don't own one. Got about 200 of the things but don't really just want to dump them at a second hand store. I still listen to radio or podcasts in the car but at home it's Alexa or vinyl.
