Fair start by De Minaur. Michelson has been crap so far though.

Sinner looks stuffed and maybe injured. Certainly to De Minaur’s benefit if he goes out.

Yes, he’s going “ok”. He’s a bloke who has got absolutely everything out of himself, and then some. So he deserves great admiration for that. However he is very limited compared to the other top 10 players. He’s a retriever, and just doesn’t have the ability to crank it up a gear, because he is...

Agree. We need some Charlie Curnow and Harry McKay types out there.

Could probably say the same about Alex. It’s a testament to his single minded determination, professionalism and work rate that he’s risen to top 10 in the world. But honestly he’s got a pretty meh game, without any real weapons, apart from his speed around the court.

The smiliest footballer you ever saw?

David Rodan is the smiliest goal umpire. I assume he must have been the same when he played AFL.

    RDFNL 2025 Season discussion

Would be great for the club and town if Lancefield can work their way up the ladder. Been down for far too long.

Scott Pendlebury - Standing in the game?

And yet, despite your polite request when you first started this thread in July 2023, here we are 18 months later with Tiger posters still trying to make it all about Dusty and Richmond. Another thread they’ve hijacked.

    Rumour Noah Balta assault charges

Tigers obviously tanking by booting their best player out for 4 matches. Had very winnable games against Carlton, Port, Saints and Freo. Not so much now.

From memory I think he got 3 centuries in that series? He did bat well. Arrogant S.O.B though. Apple didn’t fall far from the tree with son Stuart. It was Merv Hughes debut series. In his first test he got absolutely carted. I remember Ian Chappell commentating and saying “The trouble with...

Probably worried he’d take the opportunity to rain on the Australian’s parade, by saying we got the best of the umpiring and also doctored the Sydney pitch. 🤣🤣

Would have expected better from you kickazz. A very unfair and untrue generalisation. Not all of us so called “fossils” have got an axe to grind with Cummins or his team.

Wonder if they’ll open with Starc, or go straight to Boland and Cummins. Certainly can’t risk 3-4 overs of the absolute garbage Starc dished up yesterday. Would just about be game over. On the other hand Starc does have the ability to produce a couple of unplayable wicket taking balls...

5th Test Border Gavaskar Trophy January 3-7 1000hrs @ the SCG

The way the ball is jagging around and bouncing is going to make any chase very difficult. It’s not as if our batsmen are technically equipped to graft it out on such a pitch either. It may be best to adopt the Pant approach and attack the bowling as best they can. Otherwise, sooner or later...
