Drink a shot everytime kangaroo, sandpaper or cheats comes up. Hospitalised with alcohol poisoning 3 posts in
Even its water, you'd be rushing to the loo every half an hour.

Nah call it out, but in a respectful manner. The standard one walks past is the standard one accepts. The fossils have been proven wrong again.
Would have expected better from you kickazz. A very unfair and untrue generalisation. Not all of us so called “fossils” have got an axe to grind with Cummins or his team.

A good win, but it might be the last one we have for some time, the team is old and even the new boy Webster is 31. At least Webster played like a Test cricketer. I was a huge supporter of Konstas until today, but after that shot he is NOT the future of Australia's top order at the moment. Usman is 38, Smith is 36 in June, Boland is 36 in April, Mitchell Starc is 35 in a few weeks, Hazlewood is 34 in a couple of days, Marnus could be lost and he's a youngin' at 31 this year! Konstas should be one of the batting answers, but i have my doubts now. Can't wait for Green to return. The other replacements might be hard to find and are pretty thin on the ground. Still, this win was a good one, but i suspect the team come Boxing day 2025 could be a vastly different one. We could see 5 or 6 new players facing the Poms?

Agree he pushes the boundaries, but that's what makes it great viewing. He throws it back in our faces, as he will against England, and it depends how we or another country he's playing against can handle it....

I don’t mind the fiery stuff, just don’t play the victim and be sanctimonious…own it

Well yeah bit of a generalisation I suppose. There are young uns that go down that line of critique too.

Perhaps I mean fossil not purely to mean age but to the lack of neuroplasticity. 😁

In any case, as a player, captain and leader of men he is right up there I think. Not blessed with the talent Waugh and Taylor had at their disposal (or even Ponting and Clarke)

I can rephrase their sentence to make it more palatable:

"I think its just some of the whinging older aussies (ignore this if it doesn't apply to you) feeling a bit shit that a millennial run Aussie team is not ****ing up."

The phrases older and millennial run can be removed to and make it even nicer.

i thought that was just a precursor to the summer. This is peak cricket season so what brainiac decides not to have any games. I hate the Big Bash, so guess that's the cricket done then.
I expect most on this board to be sweating and rocking up and down like a junkie withdrawing by this time tomorrow.

Kontas has the shots and talent, he was milking 2 2s on the leg side off good length balls since the field was spread out and then tried to smash the next ball off a good length. He can play the long innings as shown in Shield cricket as he has the talent.

Sky News and their watcher would be chucking a massive tantty over Cummins being one hell of a captain.
Not all of us older Aussies fit your stereotype.

Yeah its 5 Januarly....early January. No morris international cricket for the Australian summer it seems. Disappointing.

Plus I can't watch a lot of Big Bash. T20 cricket...not for me.

When we won it in 2021 it's the best trophy to hold.

But we dont currently hold it so it's meh
That was mostly just funny because we won it on the back of winning a bunch of tosses in a row, with our test bowling lineup and not paying any attention to the format, as well as some silly innings from Matthew Wade
