The way these things work, LDU would have already told his manager he is out and his manager has probably already organised a deal with the club he will go to. Hence Norths trade during the draft: they knew they'd break even on picks via LDU leaving.
Maybe not tonight, but last night, while Armstrong and Whitlock were still on the board (plus some of the others who are still available), our F1 + whatever wouldve been fair. Doesnt even sound like we were trying which again, is disappointing.
There is only 2 ways in which the North trade doesn't look like a total stuff up: either the kid ends up being a generational talent, in which case who cares what you gave up? Or they have more or less confirmed LDU is gone as a FA next year so will get a good pick back that way.
Well shit im sold, what with him being a good bloke and all i cant see how this could possibly fail? Obviously every recruiter overlooking him for the better part of 10 years has gotten it wrong.
Which nobody sees and every oppo supporter continues to call us cheats for years. If it is all above board then the club couldve and shouldve handled this better.
Some people might be able to brush it off, but personally i dont like the accusations being thrown around. It has pissed me off ever...
Are you seriously suggesting the club didnt know what Morris and Scott were going to announce? Or that the club couldnt have stepped in before they went public and asked them to hold off?
