My view is that appointing Dal showed that we weren't taking it seriously. We appointed a club legend with virtually no coaching expertise instead of going and finding the best coach out there. He has obviously learned a lot, but my view is that we need to thank Dal for his service and go and...
Can we do 3-way deals at this stage? If so, I think a deal with NM would need to involve one of the clubs (GWS and Syd i believe? ) willing to trade into next year's draft. That way our F1 could go to the third club, which sends a pick to NM.
I think everyone is forgetting the most important thing about Bo Allen. His dad played 98 games for Hawthorn. Which means that I get to have a little chuckle on draft night, no matter which club picks him up.
Looking at his draft year highlights, I think Wilson has the tools to be a centre square mid. His clearance work was very good, at least in this highlights. I'd love to see him graduate into there. And Ross clearly thinks Henry can play centre square too.
This is spot on IMO. Twomey's phantom had Patty at 1 but his rankings had Tracc. At 1. https://www.afl.com.au/news/443857/phantom-draft-form-guide-november-update
I am unaware of any expert ranking Paddy at 1 (as opposed to having him in the phantom at 1) though it was a long time ago. Would...
In retrospect, I would have liked to have Sam Pang from 2010 to 2020. Couldn't have done any worse at trading and drafting, and we would have had lots of fun too.
Looking at this list of players in limbo, I noticed that Jack Bytel is not one. He also hasn't been delisted by the Pies. Does he have a two year deal? Good for him if so.

I feel like clubs could get overly spooked by the Tassie entry. Word is that they'll get less concessions than GWS/GC and GWS and GC entered in consecutive years and basically took up three (four?) years of talent (including taking pre-draftees 12 months before they entered the comp etc). So, in...
I always thought it did, but not according to this: https://www.afl.com.au/about-afl/free-agency
Maybe the original formula took B&F and Brownlow finishes into account? Or did I just make that up?
I saw it differently. I was lucky enough to be at the game up high. In the first quarter and a half when the game was on the line, there were three or four times when Neale won a contested ball in a phone box. The Swans were pushing forward in waves and Neale would spit out the back of the pack...
The Norm Smith voters presumably indulged liberally from an open bar. Neale was best on. I can certainly understand putting Ashcroft first in your voting, but two judges not giving Neale second place and one not including him at all! Umps would have done a better job.
Wouldn't you love the media to make excuses for you the way the media make excuses for Geelong.
My favourite part: "two off field staff" got COVID!

Please don't lose to Hawthorn.
Good performance last week to turn the tide after being thoroughly outplayed in the first quarter and a half. Was great to get to Windy Hill and listen to the Bombers fans not saying much.
We were down on form but our best players got moving late when the game...
...you could also list one Jack Steele in that category. He was young, but not seen by many as a potential AA mid (I think the skipper of GWS at the time was an exception).
Lots of posts about the speed of our midfield. Ross has made it clear (through his actions) that Liam Henry will be given the chance to cement a spot in the centre square (if he gets a good preseason).
