It is quite hard to pick a team. Tempted to fade Xerri given his price and first 4/5 has Gawn, RoB, Witts, Grundy. Running Darcy/Flynn saves a lot of money to get an extra premo on the field, but lose the C opiton of Xerri and season probably finished if something goes wrong early.
A lot of...
They need to make the right selection calls in the midfield and half back.
If we’re playing Laird HB and we don’t settle on a midfield rotation then I expect we won’t play finals
Seeing a lot of variety outside of fwds which is good. Maybe the odd Rankine pick or Macrae fader but otherwise theres not much to gain in this line. Perhaps if the F6 rookie is crap then people with a Rankine or someone can get an advantage there.
Rookies will sort themselves out but I am...
Worth park the Walsh discussions for now, see what he can do if his back heals.
Walsh was a negative player in the 2nd half of this year, his kicking was on par with Taranto and got caught HTB all the time.
Cumming is a half back, he only played wing at the Giants to accomdate for Himmelberg moving to def.
We have wing options and our drive out of defense has been horrible for years. Hinge is our only real half back and even he is prone to bad turnovers
I don't think the coach rated him highly. He should have had plenty of opportunity with Kelly and Coniglio injured throughout the year. Only when contract discussions escalate in the back of end of the season did he get consistent mid time.
1. Draper
Easily the best talent.
2. Soligo
If he Can replicate his first half of the season then he'll be fine. 2nd half was poor but potentially had groin issues?
3. Peatling
From what I've seen his disposal needs a bit of work and needs to win the ball more rather than get 10 tackles a...
These guys wont kill you, especially with the bye. Nick will get tagged and Flanders won't be getting max CBAs at the Suns.
I am happy to pass on anyone 650+ but the only ones I'm looking at are Butters, Sheezel and Xerri. Bont is a bit expensive so will pass to start.
Out of Pedlar, Dowling, Berry and Taylor, I am confident Dowling is the most likey to end up in the midfield. Berry I've given up on, Taylor is ok but fitness wise is way off, his second halves were shocking.
The worst thing to happen to the AFL is her. Has NFI what she is doing or how to effectively communicate, and yet she is running the show. Already weaselled DEI into everything, the precedent of earned and deserved does not exist in her brain. Quality of product and employing best person for the...
Riley has as much potential as anyone. I was worried for a while as we didnt see any progression for 3 years but this year showed why he was pick 2, although a small sample size.
If you were taking a young KPF in a draft now, Sam Darcy would go 1 and think Riley would go next.
it has been done to death but curtin wasnt ready early days, was underdone. the mistake was playing him KPD. he also struggled in the midfield at AFL level (despite strong sanfl form), but looked at home forward.
