Completely depends on what you give up in a trade or pick and what you pay the player. In most cases in the OP, the answer would be stuff all I would imagine.

Most teams have 1 tagger. Carlton probably run with 2, sometimes 3. But when you're listing off 3 blokes a side, reality is, two of them are more often than not simply playing on opposing mids rather than having a shadow for game.

There's not many actual tags on anyone these days. Not hard, 120 minute lock down jobs anyway. You take damaging outside mid and then go head to head with the rest. Been that way for a while I reckon.

Not a great stat agreed, but I thought he played as a tagging mid more than a small defener. Deledio, Rich, Hanley etc.

Taking into consideration his size, his likely role, his exposure to footy (literally 12 months), his background and his clear physical gifts in other areas, how is this a surprise or a concern? From all you hear and read, calling into question his effort is bloody harsh imo.

Maybe. Be interesting to see Hawthorns as a comparison. Quick guess, biased as it might be, that North's straight seconds side would beat theirs.

I think McKenzie looks slower than he is. Haven't seen him run down or beaten to the footy yet and never seen him rushed at all. Has heaps of time. Probably wont fill out until he's 23 or so, but I agree with Daz, I think he'll be a valuable player this year and make big improvements.

Seems from where I sit that he was given extra resources and then went out and did what he and they probably wanted to do 3 years ago. Pretty obvious I would have thought.

Would love to see some other 200cm players and their results from previous years, but I reckon those results are crazy. 91% for agility at 200cm doesn't make sense.
