I'm pretty torn on my love for Apple. On one hand I love their products and buy most of what they come up with. On the other hand, I know that as a company they're not quite as ethical as a lot of people want to think...
Berlin, Prague, Krakow are good choices and can be done in a loop (or even over to Budapest before Krakow).
Paris and London are great cities, but also horrible tourist traps. Bit less so in winter but still...
The kid in me wants this, but the half-kid, half grown-up in me wants this:
Since I will be getting neither, I'll settle for money and a bottle of scotch.
I live alone and I think it's better for me. I'm really social and I value time with friends but when I want to be alone, I want to be alone.....and that's for at least a bit every day.
What kind of 20 year old woman wants to sleep with a 12 year old anyway? Or even a 16 year old for that matter...teenage boys are pretty gross and awkward.
Totally agreed.
Also, if you really want to save money and don't care about privacy at all, Couch Surfing is a really great option. I've done it before and can vouch for the fact that it's not scary if you go with people with good references. Europe and the UK are really good for it as well...
If anyone is looking for a cheapy tablet, Groupon has a voucher for an Android tablet on at the moment. It's not going to compete with the iPad or Galaxy Tab but might be good for someone looking for something simple and inexpensive :)
Does anyone else use a stylus on their iPad? I got one because I use it for reading documents and making notes and I thought it would be a bit easier with a stylus because it's a bit more like a pen.
I just ordered this one but it's still getting shipped so I can't really give any feedback on...
I don't find screen size to be an issue on my iPhone. It's a phone, and I want it to still fit in my pocket. If I want a bigger screen, I have an iPad for that.
I voted the last option, because they were definitely talented song writers and George Martin was a great producer (he really was the 5th Beatle), but a lot of what they did was popularizing stuff that had already started. Which definitely has a place and makes them influential because even...
I don't know if that's -always- true. I've had some pretty good times with discounts, cheap flights and stuff like that. I find that just because there's a special or discount on doesn't always mean it's dodgy.
I went, while on a road trip with my family. I seriously just recommend renting a car and going it alone. The countryside is AMAZING and there's a lot of great hiking in the area that you would miss on a bus tour. Also just quirky smaller cities in that region like Flagstaff are worth checking out.
I wouldn't really call Cesky Krumlov 'off the beaten path'...I was there a couple of years ago and it was very busy, full of people over for a short detour from Prague.
I'd recommend Saxon Switzerland in Germany. It's still not too busy and it has some gorgeous sites as well as great landscape...
I realise this is an old thread, but there's a pretty good resort deal on Groupon for Phuket at the moment. Is it as good as it looks? Will I get there and be greeted by cockroaches or is it a nice place to stay?
