You little Anzacs - warms my heart to see teams forming in December. Great stuff lads.
Also pleased to see some astute early selections - particularly robust on Tommy Lamb - good to see him appearing in backlines already.
I'm heartened by the Bigfooty Communities commitment to early preseason Supercoach analysis. It's the bloke who is best prepared who comes up trumps in this caper - and I salute you all. She's gonna be one hell of a 2015 season.
He was 50/50 at best before yesterday but he impressed at Alberton. Might not be a safe bet I'll admit but I reckon he';; be there round 1. Vest fodder though.
I've seen enough in Georgiou to suggest he would be a very handy player at the top level. Can play on a gorrilla if he has to, but (as bloody ungainly as he looks) he's effective on the counter as well. I reckon he'll get the nod but could well be wrong
Good day Bigfooty community,
Spending some time this morning assessing which rookie priced kids (talking $190K and under) have done enough to be gifted a round 1 slot in their teams. For mine we haven't had a tougher rookie selection season for 5 years.
Some of the kids who can write home to...
Gday all,
We had Al Paton from Superfooty on the podcast yesterday - ripping news about the fact that the mobile side of things will be free as a bird in 2014.
Also confirmed that we'll still have the rolling lockout and 18 best scoring players during bye rounds.
Gaggin for 2014
Gday folks!
Have been putting a hell of a lot of thought into these game changes and how they affect the way we structure our sides in 2013. Want to pass this piece of advice on to all of you.
Take a lot of time researching these changes and thinking about how they change the state of play. 30...
Greg the Skeg has just that little bit too much upside to ignore in 2013 for mine. Interested to see how he fits in with the Gold Coast lads after being a long term WA boy. He's in my starting lineup
Gday Big Footy folk.. bloody great to be here in the lead in to the AFL Grand Final.
The bookies have Hawthorn at $1.40 and Sydney at $2.80. This game will be a hell of a lost tighter than that. Sydney are in this up to their neck.
Gday there folks.. massive trading week this week isnt it ey? As we discussed in this weeks podcast on the site just wanted to sing out and suggest that you try to resist trading out your Broughtons, your Scotlands, your Shaws and your Pavliches.. there are other priorites this weeks kids ;)
Interesting setup mate love your work ;)
Would like to see a bit more of Minnow in the coming weeks..but nice allusion to the possibility of a 3 semi-premium 1 rookie structure. Interesting.
Bit skinny in the mids for mine. Sure there are some top notch cash cows in there but you'll fall a...
Both look great gets don't they. The only downside I see with Magner is his low disposal efficiency so far in the preseason (but 50-60% I believe). The new supercoach scoring system will penalise ineffective disposal more this season.
That said - cash cow ahoy all the same ey?
My thoughts are a very strong team mate. Have some worries about your fwd line being pretty high in risk - Fyfe - Dusty - Roo - Brown - Franklin... in any given week 2 of them could very easily be down with suspension/injury/niggles....
having said that impressed mate. Impressed.
Mate - that is a fair dinkum thumbs up red hot you beaut call. The forward are where it will be won and lost this year.
One good thing the fwd line has going for it this year is the rookies. I'm leaning towards a heavy rookie fwd line with lads like Smedts, Zorko, Treloar and Walsh looking...
Nice lookin team there son.. some improvement's I'd suggest...
..Kruezer out for big Tommy Derickx.. free up some cash. Move Orren into R2
..Pack Goodesey away for his traditional mid-season revival, bring in young Adam Treloar
..upgrade one of your rookies (maybe Kav?) to a rolled gold like...
Nice Strahany. I've long been a guns and rookies advocate - but you do pick up the 'fallen angel' aka a Nick Riewoldt type at midprice status. I bang on about avoiding those potential 'break out' players. Its just not good percentage fantasy footy.
My middies so far are Riewoldt and Riewoldt...
Quality post cotter and plenty of food for thought there.
Of the list the only one I'm dead set locking away is Big Nick Riewoldt. As I've been banging on about 2011 was an anomoly - of that I'm bullish.
Like to have a look at Brad Dick in the NAB - I like the way that kid plays.
James McDonand...
Very much looking forward to watching the big Tiger Derickx ply his trade in the NAB. The Tiger jungle drums are thumping away about this bloke. Ready to go - will play quite a considerable amount of time in the ruck changing forward. Tempting pick.
So much on offer in the rucks this year tho.
Interesting to see the spread of teams with or without Nick Riewoldt is about 50/50 - could be a real season definer that choice.
Each to his own but my call is still to get on him - there will be no repeat of 2011 for Roo. Higgo still reckons he's not touching him in 2012.. we'll see ey.
