I picked one up a year ago. Lovely to look at and lovely to drive. The new model comes with a 5 year warranty, previously 3. Alfa’s have a reputation for being unreliable but mine’s been trouble free.
We need to take advantage of the strengths of our talls, Luko, Mitch and even Marshall. Good on the fast lead. Harder to counter compared to a bomb to a contest. And we have the midfield that can execute.
But Hinkley loves his favourite play. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Lord/Esava given...
I had high hopes for Lord coming into the 2024 season. Thought he announced himself after kicking 4 goals in the loss against Brisbane in the 2023 qualifying final. But he had a disappointing 2024. Hope he turn things around in 2025.
Nothing screams X factor but his kicking and decision making are very good. He seems like a very well rounded afl footballer. In some ways you prefer that than X factor footballer who’s a lot less consistent
Port went into the off season aiming to address one of our our biggest deficiencies - our small forward lineup. Berry and Richards are upgrades on the sanfl lineup of McEntee, Narkle and F. Evans
Sadly Port didn’t have the guts to address the biggest deficiency.
Lauren wasn’t the reason for our disappointing performances in past seasons. The main reasons were the lack of talent and fitness levels that weren’t up to scratch. Not surprising for a new team.
Look at North Melbourne. They brought in a damn good coach in Clarkson but have been poor since he...
Arnell deserves a lot of credit. She’s a damn fine coach. She’s also an impressive speaker - articulate and inspiring.
I stopped listening to Hinkley a long time ago but I could listen to Arnell every day of the week
Can still remember when she took a mark in a contest in the forward line and then playing on immediately, leaving her opponent in her wake. It was super impressive
A highlight was the after game celebrations. The team was just over the moon. You could see the joy on their faces. Enjoy the win tonight then the prep for the semi begins
No doubt our skill level has gone up a few notches. But we ran out the game well in warm conditions. It really takes a few seasons for a new team to reach afl standard fitness levels
He’s a loss but that’s tempered by Logan Evans and Sinn. Logan was a real surprise packet. Looks like an accomplished afl footballer with more improvement to come. Sinn, late in the season, started to live up to Port’s high expectations when we drafted him
You know that Hinkley will play one of Lord/Esava. Hope Lord has a big pre-season and comes into Rd 1 bigger and stronger. He has better instincts as a forward than Esava
Soldo didn’t have much choice but to eat a bit of humble pie when he realised that Port were going to say no to St Kilda’s offer and no other club was interested.
He should be highly motivated next season, knowing that his AFL could be on the line as he turns 29 next April
I thought our forward line was our Achilles heel in the finals with a cooked Dixon and a rotation among 3 sanfl standard small forwards, McEntee, Evans and Narkle.
Our forward line looks better on paper with Lukosius and Richards coming in. Let’s see how that translates next season
