Hawthorn have the Dees next week, which I would expect them to lose given how much better Melbourne are looking with a few back from injury. But given how awful we've looked in our last two matches at Norwood, hard to see any results other than a bit of a pantsing against North unfortunately.
Very interested to see how the forward line shapes up without Gould, a bit worried that it will mean Ponter won't see any midfield time which would be a shame as she adds a real point of difference in there. Been some great contested marking so far this round, would love to see EJ clunk a few.
Hi all. After a couple of years of lurking this board I've decided to finally log back into this thing (I can't believe I remembered my old password) as there's not really anywhere else to chat aflw. Can't wait for the season to kick off, finally some decent footy to look forward to :)
AO should definitely bring a younger crowd, I live inner city and getting to AAMI is a hassle, with study / work / other commitments sometimes it's downright impossible to find enough time to get there. 10 - 15 minute bus trip to AO yes please.
Criticism is warranted - he's been useless this year - but in 2011 ("the one before that") he played less than 5 minutes before doing his shoulder. Don't see how making things up helps get your point across.
We had more inside 50s and scoring shots against Sydney yet were comfortably beaten and will admit we were dreadful. Make of that what you will, Hawks fans...
I went to the St Kilda Friday night game earlier this year and was ready to sleep by the time I got there. starting after 8 is ridiculous... particularly given it takes about an hour from the final siren to even be in the city. Add the time and distance with the money spent on last week's ticket...
Won't go into my already mentioned stats of being in the best players in his 6 last games, but to be 4th highest goal kicker and have the 8th highest disposal count in an 'abysmal' season where he missed three and a half games... I'm impressed.
The Porpoise was magnificent last night.
I feel I adressed this issue in my post on the previous page. Not my personal-opinion best players, either, I got it off the AFL website. I admit he had a slow first half of the year but he's completely found form since catching up with the pace of the game, as happens to anyone who has a year off.
Drop Porplyzia? Probably the funniest joke I've heard all year. Check our best players for every Home and Away game since round 15. Hint: He's in the best every week he played a whole game. One bad game makes an end of career not. Especially given how poor everyone else was last week.
