We had to bring in a defender capable of standing the resting ruckmen so Luke Thompson was the obvious replacement for Talia. Very happy to see Hendo come in but was Riley the first to go? We better see a huge lift in tackling pressure from Petrenko, Porplyzia, Callinan, Vince and Douglas.

If those players you've nominated, particularly the first 3, play like passengers as they did last week, we're no hope to win.

Some of our forwards don't deserve to be in the side, particularly when you've got Jenkins booting 8 goals and Martin getting 4 goals and 24 touches.

This forum could get very ugly if we lose tomorrow night. The mods might want to bring in some reinforcements.

I remember reading a Dream Team-related analysis of each team's sub tendencies a little while ago, eg. pulling the sub from either on the field or a particular spot on the interchange, and the likelihood of late inclusions. The naming of players from the field as sub is actually surprisingly common.

I think we need Henderson on field to stretch Johnson down back and will have Johncock as sub.

Sub needs to be Douglas or Johncock, preferably the former.

Douglas could be a good sub, probably won't fumble and fall as much when the heat gone out of the game. His skills could then come to the fore.

But then again how will we replace a fringe midfielder, 3rd tagger and small floating flanker? Very versatile is Douglas.

Forward pressure is what need to be improved most of all I think. Sydney were allowed to rebound far too easily which is just as much a problem with defensive pressure in terms of tackling in the forward 50 as it was supply, eg. the Thompson bomb.

Porps besides last week has been pretty good. Callinan is our second highest goal scorer and needs to be cut a little slack considering how many were down. I would have Petenko as the sub, he was extremely poor and hasn't done anything for awhile. Hendo gives us much more versatility, considering we tend not to play the sub until well into the last qtr that versatility will be wasted.

In the last few rounds Pets was looking reasonably dangerous around goals, looked composed. Goes to show what lack of pressure delivers. The moment the pressure is on he panics.
