It occurred to me earlier today that the departure of our long time high performance manager (Hornsby) last year might also be a little concerning. If true about Cameron, alarm bells starting to ring.
I don't know what you expect Santa? As a few have mentioned we didn't fund the dept until the last few years. As for 2nd rounders and beyond, Batchelor, Griffiths, Astbury, Dea, Edwards and Post isn't a horrible result. If you look at most drafts in the last 5 years, there's not a lineup of...
Can you please name this cavalcade of stars that didn't work out with us and is tearing up the rest of the competition?
Rodan, Schulz, Tambling, Morton, Andy Collins? Ottens maybe?
I agree with this wholeheartedly. Instead of sooking about the draw, let's just win regardless of the circumstances. We shouldve won today and last week. It hurts but hopefully the players are learning from the mistakes made in these crucial game winning moments.
Based on some other recent examples I thought he was in real trouble. Good news! Didn't think there was any intent but that hardly seems to matter any more.
Intelligent post DD. we may have a role for Morris down the track in the mids but right now getting a back 6 to gel is hugely important. Rome wasn't built in a day.
Positives:
1 less scoring shot than them
3 less inside 50s than them
Higher disposal efficiency (76 vs 72) than them
4 less tackles than them (and we had 78 more possessions)
Negatives:
Minus 18 contested possessions
Minus 13 (40-27) clearances
Scores from stoppages - them 7 goals 1...
Not a bad summary but with regard to points 2 and 6:
- as mentioned by a couple of others, Grimes and Rance are the pillars of a very decent back structure for the next 10 years. The need for a third tall is right but Astbury looks to have many of the skills to fill the breach. I think this...
Re: Off-season training
Was it a song with a bit of a yodel? Flew Southwest to Tucson in April and the hosty sang a song with a bit of a yodel thrown in. Weird but kinda fun.
I'm a bit of a ******* and only bet around th carnival and the few other times of the year I actually turn up to a meet. The Mrs and I popped some box trifecta and a couple of bets on to the tune of $50. Nailed both the winner and the trifecta, albeit at a reduced dividend. Nice little $800 earn...
Hi Blues fans,
Was in Doha on Sunday and saw a bunch of the boys walking around in the Souq. Thought iit was a funny place for a footy trip and saw Matty Capuano there which made me think it was something more serious. Those I recognized were Betts, Colins, Watson and Lucas but there was a big...
Re: O'reilly quits?
Haven't seen an announcement on his delisting so I'm guessing it's the players call. Played a couple of senior games, looked a little slow decision making which isn't surprising for an Irish lad otherwise was ok.
The guy you're referring to here is Adam Douglas, Strength Coach. I played with him out at East Ringwood back in the day. Ripping guy. Has always had a great physique and work ethic himself. Taught in some of the elite boys schools for quite a few years. Was a very good player in his own right...

Nathan Foley ankle injury Pre-season Indefinite
Had surgery in late January on the ankle which prematurely ended his 2009 season and will miss the start of the 2010 season
Doesn't really tell us much
I too rode the "No Ablett" train and can't help but feel vindicated to a dgeree. Certainly don't wish little gaz any ill will but this gamble may just've paid off.
Shaw was proven in that to be the idiot that we've always considered him to be. The positive being that March stood up to be counted and gave a decent account of the club in light of the disgraceful performance last week.
I couldn't disagree more. I think for th first time in many, many years we have actual competition for spots in the first 22, and that you could throw a blanket over about 15 players for the last 7-8 spots in the side.
Saw him in the TAC U18 Champs last year and he's got enough tools to make some impact this year. There hasn't been too many #1 picks that haven't played 15+ games recently, even big men. How about Hill at Freo? Is he too much of a rake to wlak into their side?
