Using the same principle as the other 2009 player discussion thread. I name and the next poster discusses how they think they will do this year in SC this year, then that poster names the next player and so on...
**Only name the 2008 draftees**

Start off with..... Daniel Rich

You'd think he'd step into their midfield straight away. Was obviously considered the oustanding midfielder of the draft and has already shown he has all the tools to succeed in senior footy. I'd have him starting.

Tom Swift.

Has been the focus of some positive reports coming out of the West.

Unsure as to whether he'll play straight off thebat, but looks almost certain to get games at some stage during the year - how many, and when are probably the only questions in terms of SC.

Next up, I'll do a double for defence - Michael Hurley and Nic Suban

went down to watch michael hurley train the other day.. no sighn of him...

Hayden Ballentyne i recon
my tip look at the rookies name in the round 1 squad
i did that apart from a couple and ended up with
Rhys Palmer Cyril Rioli Nathan Brown and there got me some VALUE :)

No idea on Suban sorry. How about Chris Yarran, one he's over his injuries?

I think that if Yarren is not lazy and play to his potential, then I think that he could win the rising star. He is in my side.

How about Jack Watts? Will he play much or will he be developed?

Saw him in the TAC U18 Champs last year and he's got enough tools to make some impact this year. There hasn't been too many #1 picks that haven't played 15+ games recently, even big men. How about Hill at Freo? Is he too much of a rake to wlak into their side?

From what I have read, Hill is going to be a development player, so I don't think that he would start round 1, but he could get a few games later in the season IMO. This could be because of his skinny frame.
