Game Day Rd 24 starts at 12:30pm Roos v Hawks

Today is the perfect summation of the last five years. This group will deservedly go down in history as the worst AFL team of all time and it's unlikely they'll ever get surpassed. Credit to the supporters still hanging around this festering turd of a club.

Autopsy AFL 2024 Round 9 - Suns v North Sat May 11th 7:30pm AEST (TIO)

Two of the worst football teams in the history of the game going head to head at the worst venue on the planet.

    Autopsy Autopsy v hawks

We've been incredibly unlucky with the fixture so far. In our first six games we've had to play some top teams, some mid-table teams, and some bottom teams. We'll only be able to truly judge where we're at when we get to play teams mathematically out of the 8 late in the season with nothing...

Game Day North v Hawks zero wins apiece face off for the Clarko Cup. Souva’s 100th.

I genuinely think we'll win this. The boys should be getting absolutely roasted at half time and play like their lives depend on it these last two quarters.

Game Day North v Hawks zero wins apiece face off for the Clarko Cup. Souva’s 100th.

The umpires are furiously giving us CPR and we keep trying to strangle ourselves.

Player Watch #40: Eddie Ford - re-signed until end of 2025

    The Owen? (0-20)

Autopsy Forget rock bottom - Roos enter the event horizon vs Eagles

Hard to judge the boys too harshly. Eagles had several AFL listed players on the field today. Still very confident we're building what will be a strong VAFA team.

Autopsy AFL 2023 Round 14 - GWS v Dockers Sat June 17th 4:35pm AEST (GS)

Similar to Carlton. Very poorly coached teams that only look good when they throw their game plans in the bin and just focus on playing instinctive football.

Autopsy 28 point loss vs. GWS franchise

Cyril's first year (and third year in brackets) vs. Spicer's third year. Average Disposals Cyril: 13.8 (17.3) Spicer: 7 Average Goals Cyril: 0.96 (1.35) Spicer: 0.2 Average Marks Cyril: 3.92 (4.05) Spicer: 0.95 Average Tackles Cyril: 3.48 (4.9) Spicer: 4 The comparison is absolutely...

Autopsy AFL 2023 Round 12 - Suns v Crows Sat June 3rd 7:30pm AEST (TIO)

That was 100% them sending a message to the AFL. Not happy with their mate getting dropped.

    Autopsy AFL 2023 Round 12 - Eagles v Pies Sat June 3rd 4:35pm AEST/2:35pm WST (OS)

Lol at Lyon. Still hasn't figured out that West Coast are smashing them in clearances. Just sees the big discrepancy and assumes it's Collingwood on top.

MVP Votes v Pies round 11

    3. Larkey - 5 goals, 9 score involvements. Easily the best North player on the day IMO. Fans on this board take him for granted. 2. Greenwood - Battled hard and was the reason we were able to win clearances. 1. McDonald - His best game for a long time.

Past #23: Ben McKay - gone to * as RFA - NMFC awarded Band 1 pick #3 compo

I love that he and Harry are so committed to the "we are actually just one person" joke that they both started playing like shit.
  14. T

Autopsy AFL 2023 Round 11 - Saints v Hawks Sat May 27th 1:45pm AEST (Marvel)

21 intercept possessions and 11 score involvements. Has to be up there.

Autopsy Loss to Sydney - quite literally no words will adequately sum this up

So proud of the club's response from the interchange error. Took full responsibility. Looked at what went wrong and have come up with a plan to make sure it won't happen again. We are on the right track and have the right people in charge.

Analysis The rebuild of Carlton and Brisbane and their future prospects

This is a great example of why rebuilding through the draft alone doesn't work. Brisbane's success has come from smart recruiting of established talent. Relying on that mediocre brigade would have had them battling for mid table scraps.

Player Watch #37: Cooper Harvey - signs 1yr extension - Roo til end 2025

Has kicked more goals in the last three weeks than Spicer has kicked in his entire VFL/AFL career (8 goals from 23 games). Has earnt the spot.
  18. T

    Past #36: Phoenix Spicer - drafted w/ #42 in 2020 ND - delisted end '23 - 12 NM games / 2 NM goals

I've had my say about Spicer and haven't seen anything to make me change my mind. But the way our boys and the opposition players interact with him after the game suggests he's an absolutely fantastic guy and would love for him to prove me wrong.

Autopsy Loss to Sydney - quite literally no words will adequately sum this up

Hahaha all good. And forgive my Saints comment, hope you guys can give finals a real shake this year.

Autopsy Loss to Sydney - quite literally no words will adequately sum this up

We made too many interchanges. Why do you think a professional sport means the umpires should just ignore clear rules that every other team has to follow? We ****ed up and it cost us. It sucks but blaming the umpires is a loser mindset that only befits StKilda flogs.

Player Watch #21: Callum Coleman-Jones - out for season after suffering Achilles rupture vs CFC on GoodFriday - go well CCJ

Very promising performance! Deserves an extended run at it now.

Autopsy AFL 2023 Round 10 - North v Swans Sat May 20th 1:45pm AEST (Marvel) Footage of interchange in OP

Those early season wins probably put you out of the running. But my god seeing how bad you are this season you'd be a worthy recipient.
  23. T

    Past #36: Phoenix Spicer - drafted w/ #42 in 2020 ND - delisted end '23 - 12 NM games / 2 NM goals

I genuinely appreciate the optimism and desire for him to do well but let's get serious. He is 21 and is consistently one of the worst players on the VFL list. He would require a truly remarkable improvement to develop into a solid contributor at that level. There should be absolutely no...
  24. T

Past #23: Ben McKay - gone to * as RFA - NMFC awarded Band 1 pick #3 compo

Ben McKay has the worst winning percentage of any AFL player since 1951 - 8th all time (minimum 50 games). I wonder if this has affected his mentality a little. Hard to be motivated when you've never known any success your whole career.
  25. T

Autopsy AFL 2023 Round 8 - North v Saints Sun May 7th 4:40pm AEST (Marvel)

It is offensive that one of these teams is going to get four points for winning this game. Atrocious viewing.
  26. T

Is Kayne Turner the worst player currently playing regular AFL games?

What's most bizarre is that he has featured somewhat regularly under four different coaches. There must be something he brings to the team, but I sure as hell can't see it.

Autopsy Vs GC Franchise - Goldys 300th.

The pattern of this forum is to massively overrate every 18-20 year old on the list and wax lyrical on every minor involvement they have in a match. As they develop between the 21-24 age bracket and inevitably just become marginally better, the forum will slowly turn on them and demand for...

Autopsy AFL 2023 Round 6 - GWS v Lions Sat April 22nd 4:35pm AEST (Manuka Oval)

Trust Lachie Neale to be the one throwing himself into the ground head first to try and milk a free. Has always been the biggest flog in the league.
  29. T

Player Watch JHF - Jason Horne-Francis

I find the hatred shown towards him embarrassing and emblematic of our club's victim mentality and refusal to take any responsibility for our own situation. When you elect to turn your club into a basket case on the field to try and game the draft system, ambitious players aren't going to want...
