Also Selwood and Hodge are probably the top two for me also but Pav has to be in the discussion: the ultimate professional on and off the field; stands up in finals; loyal during awful times etc. etc.
Not a good call. Pavlich gets an awful run with the umps. Has been heavily scragged for about ten years as for most of the times he's been the only forward worth paying any attention to, yet he rarely gets a kick from the umps
He's had to carry the national team in recent years when no one else could find a run so he's okay by me. Great tactician too. Pretty tired of hearing flogs get so upset about what he does off the cricket pitch.
Or you know... he could be commenting on the fact that many Aboriginal people prefer EE over other options. You can put away the paper bag and cease your PC panic attack.
I work at a drive-thru and it's $45 for a block, so it's certainly not the cheapest beer, yet i'd say it's still the beer...
Saying Barlow/Mundy/Neale over Parker is as equally a bad call as Parker over Fyfe.
If you were starting a team from scratch they probably both go top ten though
Mostly agree.
They're in the Four so they've automatically got a fair chance, but they've got to be the weakest of those four.
Yes they pipped us two weeks ago but I would back us to beat them anywhere in the finals.
Sydney and Hawthorn 1 and 2 for mine, then Freo ahead of the Cats.
Surely you've looked at the SC stats and found a totally conclusive, undeniable and incontestable answer already Damo, so why bother wasting our time discussing it in this thread
Widespread poverty, global warming, consumerism, war etc. etc. there's a lot of problems in our world that need addressing.
What can we do to make some of the sadder aspects of our world less so. What can I do personally?
Given that we have the time and resources to post on an internet forum...
Pretty interesting that the Swans are right near their 2012 premiership winning side (and they were even closer a couple of weeks ago); the Hawks are on their 2013 squiggle and Freo is on the squiggle of the 'ugly duckling' Swans of 2005
Good to see Freo have a certain win coming up against Port. So then another certain win against them the first well?
We've got a home prelim already I may as well book my flight for the grandy now
Pretty funny to see a North fan talking about other supporters overrating something.
Mundy is a gun, been just on the fringes of the AA team for the last few years. Got a good run with injury last year and the results showed.
Some would call him a rich man's Andrew Swallow
It's too simple grouping ruckmen into three categories to find the 'best' type of ruckmen. All three types can offer something if the ruckman himself is quality. You want someone who can win a clearance, tap it down someone's throat, take contested marks and offer something up forward
It's funny because we didn't play GWS twice (never have), and we actually lost to St Kilda (making that argument irrelevant).
Yet we still finished comfortably in the top 4 :)
I know Hawthorn and Sydney are quality sides but having the ability to defeat yourself as well as your rivals is impressive.
No shame on Geelong for not being able to match these two heavyweights with feats like this.
Remind me how Harvey is winning at Brisbane again?
Last time I checked they were only a win from being in the bottom four and haven't been anywhere near the 8 for the last four years.
He got replaced by a better coach. Freo are the winners here.
God you whinge. Can you go support West Coast or something please.
FYI the term playmaker actually makes sense and there's nothing redundant or awkward about its use. Players like Hill get called playmakers because they take the game on and can turn a stagnant piece of play into a goal by...
