BTCC in the mid 90s was legendary with the saloon cars -Audi A4 Quattro then made to go 2WD, Renault Laguna with Alain Menu, Honda Accord, Vectra, Primera, 406. The TOCA games also helped the popularity. It's a pale shadow of that these days.
Now everyone these days buys SUVs.
I'm surprised at this as I thought a big aspect of 360 was having the Herald Sun's Chief Footy Writer on such a prominent show so another journo would be preferable - Michael Warner would be good. I also think Tackle works great as is and would rather it were left alone.
He is keen to go into media and feels he has something different to offer almost pitching himself as the anti-Kane Cornes. I found him so well spoken when he did the show on Monday night in Melbourne. Had time for all the Crows fans who came along.

Not my type of show but interesting to watch this from a media perspective.
As an aside, are there other footballers who were as good as Sam Newman who are so coy about their playing careers?
I know when you see him together with Eddie at Collingwood games they look alike but watching these old Footy Show clips on this documentary they're near identical.

I would like to know how they manage to pull it off from a technical standpoint. It's one thing doing it with the whole commentary team in South Melbourne and the boundary rider on side but when the commentary team is split, that surely adds a whole lot of (unnecessary) complexity.
Even more damning is that if we had drafted Butters instead of Jones, would you really have any confidence that Nicks (and the others) would have developed him as well as Port have? Not a chance.
Also worth reiterating we made fixture demands that were granted in the wake of the Sydney debacle...
